I know my last article was also a Birchbox limited edition box, and I was planning on putting up some different articles before posting this one. Then, I saw an ad for a discount on limited edition boxes on Facebook. That thwarted my plan to post this later, because I want the review to go up before the boxes possibly sell out. This is also my chance to tell those who’ve been waiting for a discount on these boxes that 30% off is the best I’ve seen in a while. That is a better discount than I received on the box. Of course, Aces could wait to see if this pops up in the 40% category later. It might, but this is arguably the best of all the available Women’s boxes. Birchbox priced it the highest so it looks like they agree. Yes, I purchased all of them, because I have a hard time passing up these limited edition boxes. See reviews for A Toast to the Host, Meet the Latest and Greatest, and Sweet Beauty Treats. I really did enjoy all four of them and have no regrets on purchasing any of them.
My nail polish collection is large. Polishes kept in good condition (away from heat or light) can last a long time, longer than the two years many people quote. A good thinner (I use Seche Vite) can also revive them. I have tossed polishes when thinner cannot save them or they have obviously gone bad, but it is rare. When I started collecting polishes again, I tossed all polishes older than the summer of 2013. To avoid ordering duplicates, I created a spreadsheet. Swatching them with these spoons I purchased from Amazon will help me compare the colors, finishes, and overall quality. All polishes only have one coat, because I wanted to spot the difference between my sheer and opaque polishes. We’ve all seen polishes that look dark in the bottle only to need 3-4 coats for opaqueness. No polishes have base or top coats either, because that can change the way the polish looks.
