It’s time to review my Winter 2018 FabFitFun box! FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription that puts out one box per season. Boxes have over $200 in value. The items are always full-sized and include products from: beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness lines. Subscribers can either pay $179.99 for an annual subscription ($20 off when buying 4 boxes up front) or $49.99 for a Seasonal subscription. Shipping is free, but sales tax gets charged (in certain states). There is usually a code to receive $10 off your first seasonal box. Those codes are fffa2p6 and FAB10. Members can select add-ons at deeply discounted prices to include with their boxes. All subscribers get to customize some choice options, but Annual Subscribers (select members) get extra choices.
I love reviewing my empty products, because I usually know by the time I’ve finished something how I feel about it. Reviews based on first impressions can change, so empty product reviews are much more comprehensive. These are most of the items I finished during the summer of 2018. A few always slip through. For items that I neither love nor hate, I am always willing to try them again, but I will not seek them out. This generally means I will only try them again if they are: free, on sale, or in a set (sets are a great way to get a deal as long as the value of the items you want to try exceed the cost you are paying). Empties from my June, August, and October (since this went up later than usual) Foil Challenge are not here, because I wanted to avoid the redundancy. The pH of products I’ve tested this season are below. Visit the pH article for info on how I test and a list of everything I’ve tested.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a once a year event that starts in July and carries over into August. It opened to shoppers with a credit or debit card on July 12th, so they got eight extra shopping days across the 3 and a 1/2 week event. Those of us without any Nordstrom cards can shop the sale officially starting today, July 20th. This sale runs through August 5th, so it is a long event. If you have not already joined Nordstrom Rewards, sign up before shopping the sale. It was once only open to card holders, but everyone can join now. Card holders will still get better benefits, but those of us who refuse to open cards still get some perks. Add any benefits to Nordstrom’s legendary service, and shopping there becomes even more desirable.

This is officially my 50th Birchbox. That includes boxes I’ve received across three accounts and replacements I’ve received for ones that were lost or damaged, like last month when Birchbox sent me a new box to replace ONE broken item. My 50th box got a little banged up along the way, but most of the 50 boxes arrived in perfect condition. Of all 50, I cannot think of any I’ve ever hated. I do think my first one was my least favorite (which I cover in this overview). April 2015 was probably still my favorite, because September 2016 disappointed slightly. October 2015 was my highest valued box at a whopping $68.32. May 2015 was the lowest valued box (still over the $10 I paid, but barely). December 2015 was the sweetest box. January 2016 was the most themed. April 2015 (a different one that the one linked above) had the prettiest box, but the one from April 2016 was similar and almost as pretty. It’s really been a great ride when I stop and look at the boxes, and I never imagined I’d get 50 boxes in when I subscribed.
