Birchbox April 2019 Review of Curated Box 2 and Two Boxes With Sample Choices Plus Subscription Box Offers

I have three April 2019 Birchbox reviews, and I am placing all three in this article. After I learned about the new Birchbox pricing structure, I decided to purchase two more subscriptions before the price went up. Since I wanted to see if the new boxes are really better than the old boxes, I wanted to have a few each month for comparison. It is easy to get one lucky box. If you get three out of three, it is far more likely actual improvement is taking place. In typical studies, you usually need a sample size of at least 30. As much as I love experiments and blogging, I was not ordering 30 boxes!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Opens to Everyone Today

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a once a year event that starts in July and carries over into August. It opened to shoppers with a credit or debit card on July 12th, so they got eight extra shopping days across the 3 and a 1/2 week event. Those of us without any Nordstrom cards can shop the sale officially starting today, July 20th. This sale runs through August 5th, so it is a long event. If you have not already joined Nordstrom Rewards, sign up before shopping the sale. It was once only open to card holders, but everyone can join now. Card holders will still get better benefits, but those of us who refuse to open cards still get some perks. Add any benefits to Nordstrom’s legendary service, and shopping there becomes even more desirable.

Over A Year of Empties: Finished Product Reviews from November 2016 through January 2018

I cannot believe how quickly time has passed since I last reviewed my empty products. This has been hard time with a lot of loss so my mindset was not focused on beauty as much as it usually is. During 2017, I barely ever wore makeup, although I continued to collect some for the day I once again had the desire to spend quality time getting ready. Since this was a year of bare minimum pampering (other than moisturizers, which I consider a necessity), I have a lot less than I usually would. It is still important that I tell you what I thought of the items I finished and saved (as I spent a lot of time between two houses and hotels this year so I did not save all of my empties). My ex also started throwing things away after we separated when he used to save the items we both used when we were still together.

Beautylish 2018 Lucky Bag Review

See the 2019 Lucky Bag article.

The day after Christmas every year Beautylish sells Lucky Bags. Inspired by Fukubukuro, a grab bag of surprises for Japanese New Year, these bags usually have double the value of their cost. As someone who loves subscription boxes and trying new things, this is something I’ve always wanted to buy. Like subscription boxes, this mystery bag is not for those who do not like to try new things or have fears they will hate all the items. I allowed the shipping charge and a brand Beautylish sells that I cannot support to prevent me in years past. My niece informed me she loves that brand so I even had a way to dispose of it without throwing it away. This year, I decided to go for it.
