I cannot believe how quickly time has passed since I last reviewed my empty products. This has been hard time with a lot of loss so my mindset was not focused on beauty as much as it usually is. During 2017, I barely ever wore makeup, although I continued to collect some for the day I once again had the desire to spend quality time getting ready. Since this was a year of bare minimum pampering (other than moisturizers, which I consider a necessity), I have a lot less than I usually would. It is still important that I tell you what I thought of the items I finished and saved (as I spent a lot of time between two houses and hotels this year so I did not save all of my empties). My ex also started throwing things away after we separated when he used to save the items we both used when we were still together.
I received my Sample bag and wanted to go over the contents while it is still available for those considering it. The promo code WATERWORKS gives a 12-piece sample bag with a $35 purchase. It is also available in store, but you will need to show a picture of the promo to the sales associate. The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is deluxe sized, and the other 11 items are foils. This bag coincides with the 2x points event on skincare at Sephora. Ulta also celebrates skin in January with the Love Your Skin Event. If you happen upon this article after this offer expires, I keep a general listing of Sephora sample bags.

New Perks release in the Rewards Bazaar every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-5pm PST. There is a pattern to releases. To see the pattern, get tips for obtaining a reward, or view general information regarding the program, read the program overview. You can also see rewards I’ve redeemed and other recent Rewards Bazaar offers. Sephora gives advanced notice of the bigger perks arriving in the Rewards Bazaar within the month. There is always a chance that offers not listed here could appear if Sephora decides to release any surprise or last-minute offers. It is important to note that the offers are not always listed in order, so offers near the top of this article (or emails Sephora sends) could be released at the end of the month and offers near the bottom could be released at the beginning of the month. This program is here to stay, so there will be 104 release dates a year. Every month, I will share the advertised offerings and write separate articles on perks I redeem.

Beauty Insider Appreciation Week runs from September 10th through September 17th. During the event, Beauty Insiders get 2x points, VIB members get 3x points, and Rouge members get 4x points. This event usually takes place in August, but Sephora pushed it back this year to iron out the details of the Rewards Bazaar. Hopefully, nice items enter the Rewards Bazaar, so the point multipliers for this event get put to great use. It officially kicked off this morning with a private VIB Rouge Event, which I wrote about separately. Sephora always offers a VIB Appreciation Bag for VIB and Rouge clients during the event. There are two options this year, but they share a one time use code. Members can choose the one they prefer (if they arrive before one runs out of stock). These are the same bags handed out at the VIB Rouge event this morning, so it is possible Rouge members who attended the event can get both bags.
No one puts favorite sets together like Sephora. The Sephora Favorites Soko to Tokyo Customizable Skin Care Set has had technical issues over the past week, so it would only go up for a few minutes at a time before Sephora pulled it back down. When it went back up last night, I was able to purchase one. My set is pictured below, but there are so many possible combinations to make a set that yours could be completely different. This set gives you a bag and the option to choose any five items from a selection of 13. There are two ways to add the items to your cart. One of the ways allows you to select multiples of the same item, which is why I believe they keep pulling the link down. They are trying to make it so you have to select one of each item.

When it comes to favorite sets, no one puts them together like Sephora. The Give Me More Lip Kit usually releases every year in mid September, but it released a little later this year. I have a really hard time passing on favorites that are makeup and skin care related causing me to buy more than I should. My favorite kit each year has is the Sun Safety or the Give Me More Lip. The smaller Give Me Some Lip Kit looked nice as well, but I sat on buying it for too long and missed out. It was cuter than the one I got in 2013 and 2014, so I regret my decision to wait until I had more used than unused lipsticks to buy it.
