beautyblender the original beauty blender vs the L’Oreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender vs the Flower Beauty Ultimate 3-in-1 Blending Sponge: A Comparison Review to Find Dupes

When I first noticed the original beauty blender by beautyblender, I was reluctant to even try it. I told myself there was no way I would spend $20 every few months for a sponge, so I continued using brushes to apply my foundation. After getting a free one through a Birchbox order, it was finally time to try it. Even then, I tried to convince myself it was nothing special. It took more foundation than I used with a brush, so it would add even more to my expenses over time. Then, it hit me. My skin looked better when I applied my foundation with a beautyblender. The brush usually left streaks when I used a paint brush style or accentuated dry patches on my skin when used a buffing style.

PINCHme September 2018 Free Sample Order Review

Although, I love that PINCHme keeps sending me free magazine redemption codes, it disappoints to see it is not as easy as it once was to get free samples. It has been so long since I’ve purchased a magazine subscription yet thanks to companies like this, I always get them. My guess is the magazine industry (at least in print form will be non-existent in the next five to ten years). I do most of my reading online anyway, so I will not miss print magazines once they are officially a thing of the past. Companies must adapt over time to grow (unless they have a niche market on lock), so I do not begrudge PINCHme for the changes. Nevertheless, I would be amiss to continue reviewing items without noting them.

L’Oreal Consumer Testing Compensation for Five Informational Studies

L’Oreal owns a lot of brands. While they sadly are not cruelty free, they do consumer testing in the US. Beauty lovers who wish to test products under the L’Oreal umbrella should become members of L’Oreal Consumer Testing Panel. Panelists are given informational surveys or free products to review. Signing up for the program is not always easy, because there are times when they do not accept new panelists. I attempted to sign up twice before I was successful on my third attempt. From the first attempt to the third, there was a nine-month span.

Once accepted into the program, panelists complete short qualification surveys determine eligibility in a survey/study. If selected for a testing panel, follow the step by step directions, and see it to completion. In addition to receiving testing products for free, you will receive compensation upon completion. Compensation varies based on the study you take part in. It can range from very little value for lower-end studies to hundreds of dollars worth of products for higher-end studies. Those participating in informational surveys get compensated upon completion of the fifth survey.

Core Collection Winter 2018 Deal Discoveries

I know it has been a long time since I’ve shared my favorites. When you’re going through the motions, it is hard to get excited about anything. There were six products that stood out ahead of the others. So, I decided it was time to bring my favorites out of semi-retirement to talk about them. My plan is to have 5 articles a year, one for each season and one for my overall favorites from the year.

Welcome to the place where I like to discuss my favorites from each season that I did not finish. Anything I’ve finished this season made it into my Empties article. Items I am still in love with as I empty them become FabuFinds. While I cannot promise I will ever finish these (some products expire before I can empty them) and I cannot promise I will still love them enough to label them as FabuFinds upon completion, I loved them throughout this season. These are items I reached for many times even though I have plenty of similar items in my stash collecting dust. Many of these items are serious contenders for my Top 10 of the Year. Like my FabuFinds, these are items I consider great deals. The deal discoveries do not need a discount to earn their value (although I will always try to find one if I can). Most of the time they are new to my collection. That is mostly due to the large amount of new products I try each year. Sometimes, they are items I’ve tried in the past but love more upon rediscovery. While I try to edit mini reviews into any article I mentioned these items in, I like to dedicate more time and attention to items I feel are worth the extra effort. They are core items to my collection.

Now that the 21 Days of Beauty at Ulta wrapped, what can you look forward to at Ulta? The Love Your Hair Event is to hair what the 21 Days of Beauty is to makeup and skincare. Those new to Ulta may have noticed there were no amazing hair products included in the 21 Days of Beauty. That is because it gets an event all its own. Hair is big in Texas and twice a year at Ulta (May and October). Last year, it ran from October 5th-25th, so the dates will probably be similar this year. Most steals posted in the special section of the Ulta site, so be sure to study it to plan your purchases.

Drugstore Finds

I love finding quality items, and I love it even more when they’re a good price. More often than not, I avoid drugstore items. It is not because they lack quality. Trying things before I buy them is just preferred, and I find it easier to get samples from mid range and high-end brands. If the deal is good enough, I will try drugstore items despite never sampling them first. The good news is even if they’re terrible, I am not out as much as I am when I buy terrible items from more expensive categories. This is the main reason I love samples.

I have also tried to get my hands on more drugstore samples lately. There are some cheap, and effective ways to do this. My subscription to the Wal-Mart Beauty Box ($5 a quarter) helped me discover gems. The Target Beauty Box ($5-$10) also helps. Sites covered on my Free Samples page also help with this endeavor. The Olay Regenerist sample I got recently came from P&G Everyday. Drugstore.com has gifts with purchase I’ve redeemed to try new items when purchasing items I already know love. In other words, it is easier to sample drugstore items than I originally thought.

Get Free Beauty Samples Volume Three

Nothing beats completely free offers. Sometimes, there really is no catch to obtaining free items. You just have to know where to look and how to find them. Welcome to the third installment of items I’ve received for free. Past free sample articles feature different freebies. The offers at times come in emails. Sometimes, you will see them on a blog or the direct brand’s website. Other times, you can find free offers on social media or even through snail mail. My Free Samples Page provides more information on sample opportunities. Offers can at times come by phone, but I never answer numbers I do not recognize. I will miss out on any that come that way.

I will always list general free items I am aware of on the front page of this site.  Sites I trust for free items are listed here if you want to look into any of them.

L’Oreal Consumer Testing Lipstick Informational Survey and My Freebies

See recent L’Oreal Consumer Testing articles.

I love many brands under the L’Oreal umbrella, so I jumped at the chance to join The L’Oreal Consumer Testing Panel.  Panel members have the opportunity to test L’Oreal products for free.  Short qualification surveys determine eligibility in a program.  If selected for a panel, follow the step by step directions to see it to completion.  In addition to receiving testing products for free, you will receive compensation upon completion.  Compensation varies based on the study you participate in.  It can range from very little value for lower end studies to hundreds of dollars worth of products for higher end studies.

I log in to the portal around 3-4 times a week.  You can log in less often or every day if you’d like.   Some days there are no surveys on my dashboard.  If I see any surveys, I will attempt them.  Qualification surveys usually take about two minutes.  They’re looking for a a small number from specific groups of people, so the sooner you fill out the survey the better the chance you will grab a spot.  People on the East Coast actually have a bit of an advantage, because the facility in New Jersey posts studies early.  By the time I get up and try to qualify, my group has mostly been filled.  That does not mean it is impossible for us West Coast beauty lovers to qualify.
