Birchbox Limited Edition Floral Favorites Box Review

When Birchbox released its new Floral Favorites Limited Edition Box, I knew I was going to get and review it. The challenge is always waiting for the right promo code to come along while hoping the box does not sell out before it does. Some boxes sit in the shop for months and others sale out quickly. It seems the ones I want the most are the ones that sell out the fastest, so I clearly have great taste. Limited Edition Boxes are my favorite items to purchase from Birchbox. These are a mixture of full and sample sized items that usually fit a specific box theme. All boxes have a value far greater than the cost so they are a great deal when the items you want to keep exceed the value of what you’re paying.

Birchbox Introduced A New Tier Pricing Structure – Members Will Now Pay $10, $12, $12.50, $13, $14, or $15 Based on Their Status and Plan – How Does This Increase Affect You?

Birchbox announced a new tier pricing structure, which effectively means it raised the price on most members. Only select members will get the $10 pricing it launched with. What added benefits are we getting for the price increase? When Birchbox launched in September 2010, and it was a pioneer in the beauty subscription box industry. Members could get a box of 4-5 beauty products to sample for $10 a month. The concept was simple. Let users get samples stress free. There was no need to go into a store to ask for things, because Birchbox tailored the samples to the user’s profile. A subscription box revolution emerged in the years that followed, because many saw the success Birchbox had and wanted to capitalize while the market was still hot. While Birchbox only sold 12 products when it launched, the intent was always to encourage customers to purchase the full-size of the samples they fell in love with. It wanted to build its subscription program, so it could grow its online store.

Birchbox 2019 Deal, Sales, Discounts, Promo Codes, and GWP Offers

Welcome to the place where I go over every Birchbox deal, sale, discount, promo code, GWP, etc worth mentioning. If you are considering a Birchbox subscription, see Birchbox Start-Up Offers. Those still on the fence can read my comparison of all my 2018 Sephora Play Boxes against all my 2018 Birchboxes. Anyone looking for deals on shop purchases should keep reading. Birchbox releases a lot of promotions each year, and I usually only add ones that stick around for a while to my Birchbox Deals Page. Check my Deals Page for older offers that are still technically valid, because some of the older discount codes never really go away. I also go over the mystery sample pack options there, which never go away.

Birchbox at Walgreens is here

Birchbox is coming to Walgreens! If you’re like me, you’ve been jealous of the people who can create their own Birchboxes via the Soho store or other pop-up locations that never seem to arrive to my neighborhood. Birchbox, if you are listening, please add this option to create our own Birchbox online! When I got this email, it was a complete surprise. Partnerships like this usually make industry news, and I never heard anything about this collaboration before today. A quick Google search shows the articles have gone up since 10/04/18, but I never saw them. While I love getting random things (where I get to pick out one sample in advance), I also love the idea of picking out all the things I will receive in my Birchbox.

The Best 2018 Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday Beauty Sales and Deals

My favorite shopping event of the year is finally here. This weekend, which kicks before Thanksgiving with some retailers, provides some of the best deals we will see. Traditionally, this is the weekend where most retailers cross over from red to black, and they will do whatever it takes to earn your shopping dollars. Offers are competitive, because almost every retailer will have one. I will update this every time I see an incredible offer through Cyber Monday, so this list will grow over the week. My tastes might vary from yours, so make sure you sign up for emails from all of your favorite retailers. It is also a good idea to check multiple blogs and sites to see what each of them feel is worth mentioning this season. Most of these offers go out to all customers. Of course, there might be some affiliate exclusives or offers targeted to select customers. I am not listing any small offers, because this is the time of year when we can stretch our budget further by scoring just the right deal. Some big offers will not make the cut either, because I cannot list them all.

Birchbox Limited Edition The Luxe Beauty Box Review

A new Limited Edition Box Birchbox, the Luxe Beauty Box is available today. Limited Edition Boxes are my favorite items to purchase from Birchbox. These are a mixture of full and sample sized items that usually fit a specific box theme. All boxes have a value far greater than the cost so they are a great deal when the items you want to keep exceed the value of what you’re paying. Better boxes sell out quickly, but the ones that linger will occasionally pop up in the sale section for 30% off. Aces sometimes get 40% off on sale items. Predicting which ones will sell out is not always easy, so I buy the ones I really want close to the release date. If you’re on the fence because of price, wait it out.

Birchbox September 2018 Featured Box Review

I used the $10 Birchbox awarded to Aces from Customer Appreciation Day to purchase the featured box for September. Subscribers can always receive the featured box in place of a surprise box for their subscription or purchase the featured box for $10 if they want it in addition to whatever box they receive. It discounts automatically after you’ve logged into an account with an active subscription. Everyone else can purchase the featured box for $15. Because I used my $10 automatic credit on the 13th, I got this box for free. As this was not my September Subscription Box, I will review this in a different way than I do with my subscription boxes. Before I even saw the offer for $10, I was already considering buying this box. In other words, this is how I chose to let Birchbox appreciate me.

The Best Labor Day Sales and Deals This Weekend

Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 when Grover Cleveland (some dispute giving him credit) declared we needed an annual celebration of workers and their achievements. This was during the height of the Industrial Revolution, so employees were really making an impact on the economy. It was not uncommon for workers to endure 12 hour shifts, seven days a week. No one was immune, not even children. Since weekends did not exist for these workers, Labor Day was a welcome and extremely brief reprieve for our ancestors who brought us into a new millennium. Though must of us do not have the work ethic of our forefathers, and thank goodness for that because there is more to life than earning money, Labor Day is still an important part of our society.

Birchbox Customer Appreciation Day September 13th, 2018

Birchbox was the first subscription box to make an impact on the multi-billion dollar a year beauty industry. Many, including Birchbox, consider it the Original Beauty Box. A lot of subscription box addicts began our addiction to boxes thanks to Birchbox. Well, I’ve never had more than six unique subscriptions at a time, so I am a subscription box amateur. Though I’ve explained why I like subscription boxes, I feel like they are only a part of getting the best deal. Thus, I cannot see myself ever having too many subscriptions. Then again, some might say one is too many. I began my subscription journey in February 2014 with Birchbox. It is the only subscription (other than Julep since May 2014) that I’ve had this long. Others have come and gone.

The Birchbox Bonus New Perks Every Month Just For Subscribers

See all sign-up and welcome offers to gain new subscribers.

Birchbox created a new program called the Birchbox Bonus. It gives subscribers a special deal once a month. Based on the wording and lack of detail in the email I received on 08/16/18, I get the impression that this is not the month Birchbox started this program. Since I do not know the date it started, I am just going to start from here and move forward. Each month will get listed in reverse chronological order. Every month when I see the new offer, I will list it below. Once this gets long and I start a new article, I will link the new article at the top.

Birchbox Limited Edition Box Travel-Ready Treasures Review

It was back in stock on 08-16-18 but gone again on 08-20-18.

When I started writing this article yesterday, the Travel-Ready Treasures box was still in stock. The article was mostly written, so I decided to publish it anyway. It seems like the boxes are running out of inventory faster than usual. That or the last two boxes I received were in high demand. This is another one I originally was not going to purchase. There are a lot of deluxe items in this, and I have more samples than I can use in a lifetime. I ultimately decided to grab it, because I think the bag is cute and saw enough value in some of the pieces I did not already own. Over a week after the box allegedly shipped, it was still saying USPS Currently Awaiting Package. Thankfully, I contacted Birchbox to see what happened, because almost three weeks later USPS is still “awaiting” the original package. Birchbox did send me a replacement, and that is the one I am reviewing now. Who knows, if USPS ever finds my lost package, Birchbox may have one more brand new kit to sell.

Birchbox Limited Edition Box Ready, Set, Summer Review

As some of you may have noticed, I have not been writing many articles lately. Taking too long to write articles caused me to get this review up after the box has already sold out. There are times when Birchbox limited edition boxes disappear and reappear, so I am going ahead with this review. If it never comes back in stock and you were not even interested before reading this, I apologize in advance. Admittedly, I did not initially think I would grab this one. I do not own a pool for the float, and I have a ton of sunscreen. Those were the two main draws of this box. Ultimately, I decided I had to get it, because I have not been able to pass on a single limited edition box in a long time. Thanks to Birchbox for putting things I want in every single box for the past two years. That’s right, if you search for any of the current boxes, you will find my review. Well, a new box just came in stock, and I have not grabbed that one yet. Hopefully, I get that one up a little faster after receiving it if I do.

Birchbox ACES Week Featuring Ace Exclusive Offers

Birchbox ACES are customers (whether subscription holders or not) who spend at least $300 in a calendar year. There are a number of perks given to ACES, which I discuss on both the retailer page and in this article on getting the best deal. In addition to the advertised perks, Birchbox throws bonus surprises at us throughout the year. This week, Birchbox is giving ACES a chance to redeem a new offer everyday. It is ACES Week, and this is a promotion I’ve never seen before. I’ve been an Ace since the program started so I have seen a lot of other perks. The week only lasted four days! Hopefully, we get a full seven if Birchbox runs this promotion again.

Birchbox Aces Surprise 50 Bonus Points for 48 Hours

Instead of creating a new article every time Birchbox releases its next (Aces surprise) 50 bonus points for 48 hours, I am going to update this article when I see a new offer. I made a purchase earlier today (04/23/18) so of course Birchbox decided to release its next 50 bonus points a few hours later. The funny thing is Birchbox released the points offer late in the day when it launched the January 2018 limited edition box so I may start waiting until evening hours before pulling the trigger on new limited edition boxes. These bonus points are for those with accounts in Aces status and only available for two days. If you happen to see the points update when they sneak them into your account the day before, you get a little over 48 hours with them. Because I made a purchase today, I saw the surprise points in my points update (emailed whenever points change).

Birchbox Limited Edition Time to Dazzle Box Review and 30% off All Limited Edition Boxes Using the Promo Code LIMITED

I know my last article was also a Birchbox limited edition box, and I was planning on putting up some different articles before posting this one. Then, I saw an ad for a discount on limited edition boxes on Facebook. That thwarted my plan to post this later, because I want the review to go up before the boxes possibly sell out. This is also my chance to tell those who’ve been waiting for a discount on these boxes that 30% off is the best I’ve seen in a while. That is a better discount than I received on the box. Of course, Aces could wait to see if this pops up in the 40% category later. It might, but this is arguably the best of all the available Women’s boxes. Birchbox priced it the highest so it looks like they agree. Yes, I purchased all of them, because I have a hard time passing up these limited edition boxes. See reviews for A Toast to the Host, Meet the Latest and Greatest, and Sweet Beauty Treats. I really did enjoy all four of them and have no regrets on purchasing any of them.

Birchbox Discovery The Best Bath Ever Kit

Birchbox puts out a lot of high-quality Discovery Kits. These are smaller versions of the Limited Edition Boxes and typically come in a clear TSA approved travel bag. A discovery kit is a themed bag with multiple brands curated by Birchbox. Some discovery kits, particularly the ones with all samples, are not worth purchasing. Of course, I usually buy them for hard to get items I really want to try or already love. As long as the value of the items I am keeping exceeds the amount I am paying, I will usually purchase the kit. Others are more than worth it.

Birchbox Limited Edition Sweet Beauty Treats Review and ACES Surprise 50 Bonus Points for 48 Hours

Birchbox released a new limited edition box today. This box is included in the Valentine’s Day Shop offers that work with the discount code VD20 through 02/03/18. I was already going to pick it up, but I was thankfully distracted. When I went to purchase it this afternoon, I noticed Birchbox placed 50 surprise points for being an Ace in my account. For those looking to track 48-hour 50 point surprise offers, I’ve got you covered. An offer for all subscribers went out on 12/08/17. Offers for Aces went out on 12/31/16, 03/24/17, and 06/28/17. The offers appear to release randomly, but I will let you know if I ever notice any patterns. I take advantage of these points when possible, because there is no purchase minimum to redeem them. As an Ace, you also get free shipping on any purchase.

It says it is a 48-hour surprise. The official email did not come until the next morning, and it says this offer is valid through the 27th. That means those of us who were lucky enough to stumble on it before the announcement got more than 48 hours to redeem them. If you are an Ace and looking for something to spend your 50 points on, I suggest this box!

Birchbox Subscribers Get a $5 Discount When Buying a Curated Box From The Shop

Sample choice for Birchbox subscriptions this month was really tough. This was the first month in a long time where I would have been happy with any choice or the curated box. Anytime I see the Real Chemistry 3-minute Luminous Peel as a sample choice for Birchbox, I have to grab it. That is one of the best products I’ve ever discovered in any subscription box. It will be 50% off at Ulta during the Love Your Skin Event on the 24th, and I am planning on getting one there as well. I actually ended up with all three sample choices in my regular box so I got really lucky. Once I fulfilled my Real Chemistry fix, I needed to get my hands on the curated box.

Birchbox Limited Edition Boxes 2017

I’ve decided not to write a general article for Birchbox Limited Edition sets in 2018. Any sets I purchase will get a dedicated article, including my purchase recommendation or advice to pass on it. View Limited Edition Box articles, or use the search bar to see if I’ve reviewed the set you’re looking for. Though I did purchase a few sets in 2017, I did not blog much. Thus, I only reviewed boxes that were still available when I resumed. All of my 2015 and 2016 sets have reviews.

I like my Birchbox subscription, but I love most Limited Edition Birchboxes. This article will cover all Limited Edition Birchboxes for 2017 (other than the perfume and cologne sets). There are almost always more full-sized items than samples in a Limited Edition Birchbox. The size of the item is not listed in the product description (something I hope Birchbox eventually changes). Birchbox does mention if the item is full, deluxe, or travel sized. This makes it impossible to calculate the exact box value (unless I order the box myself) the way I do for other retailers. Most boxes have a value that is a lot higher than the retail price. It is still important to consider personal value (the value you will receive from the box, not including items you gift or toss). Calculating personal value before purchasing any limited edition box is harder when the sizes are unknown.

Birchbox Turns Six in 2016 and Celebrates With Customer Appreciation Day on September 15th

See recent Birchbox articles.

Happy Birthday, Birchbox. Birchbox turns six this month. It started customer appreciation day in 2014 to celebrate its fourth anniversary. The celebration for the fifth anniversary in 2015 was even bigger. On September 15th, customer appreciation returned. Now that I’ve seen what they offered in 2016, I feel it was a downgrade from 2015.

Birchbox Beauty in Bloom Limited Edition Box

See recent Birchbox Limited Edition Boxes.

On the 15th anniversary of the worst day on US soil, I want to break the fourth wall for a second to say, “We remember.” Yes, it is September, and I am just receiving and thus reviewing the Beauty in Bloom Limited Edition Birchbox. With all the awesome things in this box, I am grateful it lasted this long. It’s a box I really wanted to buy after I received my final review points for reviewing my August 2016 Birchbox. Before I placed my order, I saw a video where Lorelei teased the new Cheers To You! box without specifying what was inside. Instead of buying this box then, I decided to wait to see what was in that box. It is their sixth anniversary box, so I assumed it would be amazing. Although spoilers from Cheers to You! did not go over well with most people, I actually think it looks like a good box. I actually would have enjoyed a lot of things in the box, because I: want to explore more Erno Laszlo, loved the Pixi eyeshadow I sampled, enjoy the Cynthia Rowley lip stains, love trying any and all candles, and I think the tray in that set is adorable. The problem is I still think the Beauty in Bloom Limited Edition Box is better.

Birchbox Man Final Point Redemption

See recent Birchbox articles.

There was a 20% off code, WELCOMEOFFER20, still working on my husband’s account. He only purchased from the store one other time, so he has not redeemed many codes. Birchbox deactivated the others, because I could not get any to work. My husband told me he wanted to cancel his subscription in July but forgot. When he told me he wanted to cancel after August, I decided not to let him forget again. As soon as I confirmed he did his final reviews for the last 50 points he will ever do on the account, I logged into his account and canceled for him! The problem is after I canceled, the 20% off code stopped working. It made me wonder if the codes are only for subscribers. COMEBACK15OFF for 15% off still works, but he was getting 20% before I canceled his subscription.

Birchbox Man Points Haul

See recent Birchbox articles.

My husband subscribed to Birchbox Man in July 2015 and received his first box in August. His January 2016 box arrived on Christmas Eve, and he is really good at trying all of his products quickly. By the day after Christmas, he had tried everything and submitted his reviews. He faithfully reviewed all of his products from every box, so he had 500 points. That also officially pushed him over into Aces status. I have a hard time banking that many points, because I get shopping urges around 200. The men also received a $10 off a $35 purchase unique promo code in their December 2015 box. It was time to place his first order.
