About notcreative

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Ulta Beautyfest 2019 Review November 16th Through 17th

Ulta hosted its first ever Beautyfest today. It is a new event for 2019 that takes place November 16th and November 17th, so people who missed the event today can still attend tomorrow. The question is do you want to attend? Is it worth your time? I do not like crowds or getting up early, so I went later in the day. By the time I arrived, the festivities were pretty much over. There was barely any evidence of the event at all other than a sign on the door and one sign near a display. Since this was advertised as a full day event, that was discouraging.

Many Sephora Favorites on Sale Now and the 2019 Give Me More Lip Review

Sephora dropped a lot of favorites into the sale section today. I’m here to bring you my Sephora Favorites 2019 Give Me More Lip review. As these are among my favorite purchases all year, I also want to quickly go over the others. Which ones are worth it? Some are worth it even at full price, so the discount only sweetens the deal. Others need to get discounted further before I think they’re worth it. I like when the kits are a mixture of full-size and sample products. My limit when they are all samples is $45, which prices me out of some kits.

Ulta Beauty Holiday Haul Sales Event November 10th Through 17th

The Ulta Beauty Holiday Haul Event is back in 2019, and it’s bigger this year. We get a lot of drugstore deals with the Holiday Haul Event. This event runs from November 10th through November 17th. Items are up to 50% off on makeup, skincare, haircare, and bath. Most items are 30-40% off. While the Holiday Haul Event is essentially a long list of Hot Buys, I am keeping those separate for tracking purposes. Some of these deals are the best I’ve seen all year, even though drugstore items go on sale all year via the Buy More, Save More options.

FabFitFun Fall 2019 Edit Sale Haul Review

My FabFitFun Fall 2019 Edit Sale Haul Review is ready. There is an event between the seasonal subscription boxes called the FabFitFun Edit Sale. This is a subscriber only event where FabFitFun members can shop for items discounted 25%-70% off. For those who love add-ons, this is akin to purchasing add-ons without a subscription box. It also means subscribers who are not interested in any items or need a break for financial reasons can just sit this out. For mainland US subscribers who choose to shop, they get free shipping with a $25 purchase. Like add-ons, you add the items you want to your cart throughout the sale and only pay for the ones that are still in your cart once the event wraps. The Edit Sale opened to select members at 9am on September 23rd and all members at 9am on September 26th. Shopping closed at 11:59pm on September 30th and all members were charged on October 1st.

Ulta Beauty Stars All Stars & Rising Stars 2019 5x Points

A new 2019 Ulta Beauty Stars All Stars & Rising Stars Event starts today, Monday, November 4th and runs through Saturday, November 9th. The event is only available to select rewards members. I received the offer on my Diamond account, but my sons did not receive the offer on their UltaMate accounts. Anyone who received the offer will receive 5x points on any of the 243 beauty products included in the Beauty Stars All Stars & Rising Stars. It is the eighth Beauty Star event of 2019. Ulta has packed a lot of these into 2019. This was a 10x points event in 2017 and 2018, so it is a reduction of benefits.

Sephora Favorites Superstars 2019 Review, A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation

I want to offer my 2019 Sephora Favorites Superstars Review, A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation review, because the Sephora 2019 Fall Bonus Sale runs through the 11th. This is something worthy of adding to your shopping list. After some disappointing Sephora Favorites pricing (like the 2019 Sun Safety Kit), I feel this one is priced well. Getting it on sale only adds to the deal. Sephora Favorites are one of my favorite things to purchase whenever there is a mix of full-size and sample products. My limit when they are all samples is $45, which prices me out of some kits. This one comes in under $45 and has two full-size products.

Friday Summer Hours offers start every Friday at 10am PST and are available that day only and while supplies last. It is an online only gift. I will update this article every Friday when the new treat is offered, so I should have a list of everything by the end of the promotion.

Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2019 Review – Trendsetter Subscription Box

My Fall 2019 Walmart Beauty Box review is ready. I’m happy it got mailed earlier in this season, so there is more space between this and the Winter 2019 Walmart Beauty Box. This is a subscription box that gives you the items for free as long as you pay $5 for the shipping. Your first $5 charges when you subscribe, and a box from the current season will ship to you within a few weeks. Future boxes will incur the $5 charge as the box ships. While this box gets released each season, the release date always varies. Walmart will email you before it releases to remind you to update your account information. Sometimes, it sends boxes right after you update. Other times, it will tell email you to update your account, then still wait weeks to ship your box.

Do the TONYMOLY Foot Peeling Shoes really work?

Do the TONYMOLY Foot Peeling Shoes really work? If you dislike seeing feet, exit out of my TONYMOLY Foot Peeling Shoes review immediately. There are other articles on this site you will enjoy more than this one. I’ve also reviewed the Patchology PoshPeel Pedi Cure Intensive Foot Peel Treatment and the Baby Foot Exfoliation Foot Peel. While both of those worked nicely, they are not super affordable. That limits how often I can use them. This comprehensive review has plenty of feet pictures to back up my findings. The bottom of my feet can get rough. I dislike when my heels crack, because I typically like my feet. Whenever I stop using Egyptian Magic for an extended period, they will crack. Since I wanted my feet to peel as much as possible, I gave them a one-month break from Egyptian Magic.

Sephora Play! October 2019 Review – Your Beauty Recipe Subscription Box

It’s time for my October 2019 Sephora Play review. Play! by Sephora is a subscription box that offers five deluxe beauty samples and a bonus foil packet or perfume vial for $10 a month plus tax. Shipping is free. Only items sold at Sephora come inside the Play! box so most items are from well-known, high-end brands. While Sephora does carry a few low-end and luxury brands, they do not really appear in the subscription boxes. There is not a traditional rewards program with this box so you cannot get points for referring friends or writing reviews. It does award 10 Beauty Insider points to Beauty Insiders, 12.5 points to VIB members, and 15 points to VIB Rouge members. This Play! box also applies $10 toward your purchase minimum to maintain your Beauty Insider status. Visit my Sephora page for descriptions on points and status. The $10 charge processes immediately for new subscribers and from the 1st through the 4th for succeeding months. Boxes usually ship from the 11th through the 15th.

Birchbox October 2019 Review – Trick or Treat And a Coupon Code

My October 2019 Birchbox review is ready. Birchbox subscriptions get customized to your beauty profile. All boxes are a mixture of haircare, makeup, and skincare. There are times when body care items pop up, and you can select an option to receive no more than 6 fragrance vials a year in your profile. You could get a box with 2 haircare items, 2 makeup items, and 1 skincare item or any similar variety, but you will rarely see more than 2 items from any category unless the third is a foil. If you are looking for a box that is mostly makeup or mostly skincare, this is not it. Those looking for a well-rounded sample box may enjoy this subscription.

Sephora Collection Mask Sets: Penguins in Paradise, Where Is the Penguin, and Frosted Party Skincare Surprise – A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation

The Fall 2019 Sephora Holiday Bonus Sale runs November 1st through November 11th. I’m here to bring you some sheet mask set reviews worth purchasing. They are Penguins in Paradise, Where is the Penguin, and Frosted Party Skincare Surprise, which are all sets from the Sephora Collection. Holy Sheet was reviewed separately, but I definitely recommend that one as well. After some disappointing Sephora Favorites pricing (like the 2019 Sun Safety Kit), I feel these are priced well. Getting it on sale only adds to the deal. Sheet masks are one of my favorite indulgences, but I still rarely purchase them individually at full-price. Whenever I can get them in a set or on sale, it is something I cannot pass up.

FabFitFun Fall 2019 Starter Box 16 Review

This is the Fall 2019 FabFitFun Starter Box review for box 16. There have been a lot of variations this year, and this is the sixth someone I sent a box to sent me photos to share. Because I own all four products in this box, I will give my own thoughts. That way I inconvenience the person I sent it to as little as possible. I do not have any starter boxes, but I will update this if that changes. Keep reading to see what you might get or to get some questions answered if you’ve received an invitation elsewhere. Whenever I get these invites, the person I send the box to gets it for free if s/he pays the $5 shipping charge. Anyone who does not cancel will automatically move to a seasonal subscription on the 21st day after the $5 gets charged. Either a Seasonal box (if there are any left) or an Editor’s box would start the official subscription.

Sephora Favorites The Next Big Thing Review, A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation

I want to offer my 2019 Sephora Favorites The Next Big Thing review, because the Sephora 2019 Fall Bonus Sale is just around the corner. The Fall 2019 Sephora Holiday Bonus AKA The 2019 Sephora VIB Sale With Discounts at 20% Off for Rouge, 15% Off for VIB, and 10% Off for Beauty Insider Members Event

The Fall 2019 Sephora VIB sale, AKA the Sephora 2019 Holiday bonus runs from November 1st through November 11th. If you need some ideas on what to buy, my sale recommendations are below. Sephora introduced a new format this year. For the first time ever (in the holiday sale), Rouge members get 20% off, VIB members get 15% off, and Beauty Insider members get 10% off. In recent years, VIB and Rouge members shared the same discount. Beauty Insider members got 15% off. This means VIB and Beauty Insider members each see a 5% reduction.

Ulta Beauty Stars Halloween 2019 5x Points

A new 2019 Ulta Beauty Stars Event for Halloween starts tomorrow, Thursday, October 17th and runs through Monday, October 21st. This overlaps the Fall Gorgeous Hair Event, which runs through October 26th. There is also an active 20% off prestige coupon. The event is only available to select rewards members. I received the offer on my Diamond account, but my sons did not receive the offer on their UltaMate accounts. Anyone who received the offer will receive 5x points on any of the 187 beauty products included in the Ulta Beauty Stars Halloween Event. It is the seventh Beauty Star event of 2019. Ulta has packed a lot of these into 2019.

Ulta Beauty September 2019 Diamond Beauty Bag Review

My September 2019 Diamond Beauty Bag review is ready. I track all Diamond Perks Beauty Bag offers, but I like to review the ones I redeem. Sometimes, I don’t care too much for the bag and other times I do not have the budget for the bag. This is a bag where I had the budget and liked the items based on the preview, so my review will cover whether I think it is worth the $175 buy-in now that it is here. It is no longer available, but it was out-of-stock before I even received it. Ulta claims this has a $356 value. Whenever there are errors in Ulta’s list (as there are here), I will only correct them in review articles (like this one). The tracking article will always have Ulta’s original list.

FabFitFun Fall 2019 Editor’s Box Review

My FabFitFun Fall 2019 Editor’s Box review is ready. I ordered the FabFitFun Fall 2019 Editor’s Box yesterday for $49.99 when the ability to customize the first five categories opened in the shop. Only random boxes were available in the Edit Sale for $39.99, and even with the $10 off, I did not think that was a good deal. The ability to customize really makes all the difference. As far as I know, there is not a code to start with this box yet. That means this box is only available for current subscribers to purchase separately. New subscribers will start with the Fall Box, but they can order this from the shop immediately after joining.

Target Beauty Box October 2019 Review, Your Autumn It Kit

Every month, we see a Target Beauty Box get released. The Target Beauty Box October 2019 is Your Autumn It Kit. I only cover the ones I like enough to purchase. These are not subscription boxes, so Target shoppers can see the contents before deciding if they want to purchase them. Popular boxes may still sell out quickly, but most of these beauty boxes last longer than they used to. Target Beauty Boxes ship free, but you are subject to the $35 free shipping minimum if you purchase anything else with it. Unless a color gets specified in the description, color cosmetics will vary. Boxes retail for $5, $7, or $10. They include mostly samples, but there is usually at least one full-size item. Value is usually at least triple the cost.

Target 14 Days of Deals: Incredible Beauty Deals Fall 2019

Target 14 Days of Deals for Fall 2019, which gives new, incredible beauty deals each day for 14 days. The event already started and is in its second week. This is Target’s version of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty (which has great timing now that the Fall 2019 Event passed). This does coincide with the Fall 2019 Goregous Hair Event, so it is yet another retailer coming for Ulta. Each deal is available until the end of the day. These offers are available online and in-store. Now that we’ve seen this in the spring and again in the fall, I am guessing it will repeat each of those seasons moving forward.

Sephora Collection Holy Sheet Mask & Self Care Set Review

Sephora’s Holy Sheet is one of the sets I look forward to most each year. This year, it is the Sephora Collection Holy Sheet Mask & Self Care Set. It incorporates more types of products. The set gets released every May and October or November. While sheet masks are always the star of the set, we get more types of products with every new set that comes out. That is not necessarily a bad thing, because as much as I love sheet masks, I look forward to seeing what new items we’ll get to try when a new set comes out. I’ve also reviewed some other Sephora Collection Sheet Mask Sets

Ulta Beauty, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, A Gorgeous Way to Give, and Cut For a Cause

Ulta Beauty teams up with the Breast Cancer Foundation every October by offering a Gorgeous Way to Give. This year, Cut For a Cause joins the lineup of products and events at Ulta in support of the foundation. There are many ways to give, but you can also score great deals while giving back thanks to the generosity of Ulta. Other brands generously step up to offer limited edition items for the cause that have the same cosy year-round, but donates on your behalf for every purchase you make.

This Giveaway ended. I’ve mailed the box to the winner and will share what she received in the next giveaway.

We’ve already reached the final quarter in 2019, which means Halloween is just around the corner. I want to re-home some more products. The winner of this giveaway will receive a 111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask ($32), a Spiritual Gangster Maya Kimono ($60), and a dr. brandt needles no more No More Baggage eye de-puffing gel ($42). These items came in my duplicate spring and summer FabFitFun boxes.

FabuFinds: The Best Finished Products Summer 2019

After I review my Empty Products, I take extra time to go over the standouts. It is a round-up for the best of the best. Only products that seem like they’re made for me make FabuFind status, so there are a lot of items I love that never make it. These are items I would repurchase, even without a deal. Items I am loving but cannot finish any time soon make it into my Core Collection (favorites). To eventually spotlight all FabuFinds, I will never repeat items already mentioned in a past article. That does not mean they lost their magic. An item not spotlighted in a past Empties article may get promoted as I try it more and fall deeper in love. If something gets demoted from FabuFind status (formula changes, skin changes, finding something better, etc), I will note the change in the original article I mentioned it in. There are five products I consider FabuFinds in my Summer 2019 Empties that I have not discussed yet.

Empties: Finished Product Reviews Summer 2019

It’s time to review my empty products from Summer 2019. By the time I’ve finished something, I know exactly how I feel about it, so I prefer reviews of empties to first impressions. For items I neither love nor hate, I am always willing to try them again, but I will not seek them out. This generally means I will only try them again if they are: free, on sale, or in a set (sets are a great way to get a deal as long as the value of the items you want to try exceed the cost you are paying). Empties from my June Foil Challenge are not here, because I wanted to avoid redundancy. The pH of products I’ve tested this season are below. Visit the pH article for info on how I test and a list of everything I’ve tested.

Anything in my Love category are items I consider a deal (even if purchased at the full retail price). That does not mean I will not seek out deals if I can find them. It does not necessarily mean I would buy them, especially if they are really expensive. Most are items I will typically buy again, although I will take a break from purchasing when I have too many similar items waiting to get tested. For items I really love, I spotlight ones I’ve finished (FabuFinds) and others I have yet to finish (Core Collection: Favorites) so I can discuss them in even more detail. Items in the Not for Me category are items I say no deal to (even on sale). Occasionally, I will just toss them before they’re empty, but I try to finish items unless I can’t (allergic reactions or extreme loathing). If they are really bad, I will not even use them again if I get them for free. Thankfully, I can usually find someone to take them from me, because we all have different wants and needs in our products.

Loved

The Laundress Signature Detergent – I know this is a household item, but I got it in a FabFitFun sale I covered. It has a great scent and gets my clothes clean. This is not something I would purchase at full price though. Yes, it worked well, but so does Tide. pH 7.6

Biore Witch Hazel ULTRA Deep Cleansing Pore Strip – I do not really get blackheads, so I had my 12-year-old do the honor of testing this. It removed a pretty good amount.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Opal – While I do love this enough to finish it, I used the tube to make another product. The product I created adds a lot more texture than this does, so I prefer the way the original performs. It gives me a glow that is dewy and ethereal. This shade is a little dark for me, otherwise this would have made FabuFind status.  pH 5.5

Original Sprout Hair & Body Babywash – This is still a FabuFind. I used it a little more than I usually do this season and really think it is great. It lathers well, smells great (so light and fresh), rinses clean, and leaves some natural oils behind on the skin. My boys get great results with this, and I do use it when my sensitive skin needs a break from harsher products. It is a product I dedicated an article to. pH 5.5

Nature Box Body Wash coconut oil hydrated skin – It lathers well, rinses clean, and smells incredible. There is a slight coconut fragrance, but it is mostly just really fresh. Even though it has 100% cold pressed oil, I still apply a body moisturizer (as I do with all washes). pH 5.5

Ulta Beauty Collection 4-way Buffer- It lived a great life and worked nicely while it was alive. I killed side three when I opened a drawer and it was stuck. That’s what I get for overfilled drawers. Now, it can live on in retirement. This could double as a stress reliever, because there is a slight amount of give.

Briogeo Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray – This conditions well for such a light weight leave-in. It detangles really well, too. My hair gets everything it needs from this, moisture, frizz reduction, and less pulling. pH 4.0

Gold Bond healing hand cream – This feels almost the same as the general one. While I would purchase the mini for my purse, I would stick to the body lotion for my hands and body at home. It is cheaper that way. They both provide almost the same level of deep moisturization. pH 5.0

Lancome Tonique Confort – This is still a FabuFind. It is a dense toner that gives my skin a great, hydrated base to apply products on top. pH 6.0

Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strip – My husband used this the same time my son used the Witch Hazel strip to see who could get more out. Well, my husband won, so this is the one we’ll keep purchasing between the two.

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps – This lightweight moisturizer really hydrates deep within. It does not feel greasy, but it does not completely absorb either (which I love in a lotion). ph 5.0

Softsoap milk & golden honey Moisturizing Hand Soap – This cleans well and lathers nicely. For the price, it is a nice hand soap. There is not much scent to this for those who prefer that. pH 4.5

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Pop – This is a great shade for my skin tone. I love what the powder does. It gives me a dewy, lit from within, wet look. If I used this the traditional way, it would make FabFuFind status. Since I used this in a project that did not work as well, I will wait.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream – This smells like butter cookies, which would almost be enough on its own to scream, “buy it.” However, the sparkle is the main draw. There is an imperceptible to the naked eye glitter that glistens when the light hits it just right. We can all look human most of the time, but channel our inner goddess when this highlights our skin. It is not moisturizing enough in cold weather but is otherwise perfect. pH 4.0

Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream – This smells like kettle corn. I would not rush out and buy it on scent alone. Despite being the thinnest lotion in the Sol de Janeiro line, it moisturizes the best. If you like the scent and you like to glow (because you glow with this as well), this is the one for you. pH 5.0

Josie Maran Argan Sugar Balm Body Scrub Sweet Apple Cider – The body butter in this fragrance smelled awful, but this scrub actually smelled good. How Josie Maran can market one fragrance and get it so right in one product and so wrong in another is beyond me. This gives nice exfoliation that is not too rough or too gentle. Skin is left feeling very soft. pH 4.5

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – This is still a FabuFind. I haven’t tried this on my face yet, but I love it on my body. It is pricy, and I am notoriously cheap with body products. My skin feels so hydrated, and it really lasts. Although this is better than its drugstore dupe, I will usually purchase that over this when there are no kits or sales on this. pH 5.5

CeraVe Hydrating Cleansing Bar – My son loves this soap. While I do not love it as much as he does, it does leave less of a film on my skin than any bar soap I’ve ever tried. It also feels moisturizing. pH 4.5

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold – This is not the best shade for my skin tone, but I do like it with a light hand. I love what the powder does. It gives me a dewy, lit from within, wet look. Since I used this in a project that did not work as well, I did get a shade that matched me a little better.

Palmer’s Coco Butter Formula Intensive Relief Hand Cream – This is a very rich hand cream, which I love. You need so little product that it is nearly impossible to squeeze out the proper amount. pH 6.2

-Pedicure Buffer – If I had the faintest clue who sells this, I would sings its praises. I cannot remember when or where I purchased it from. It works well though. I’ll pick a new one up from the drugstore and see how it compares.

Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion – I am already in love with Kate Somerville Exfolikate and dr. brandt Microdermabrasion. This competes well with both and smells better than both. It has a light, citrus scent. My skin feels so soft afterward, and it is so gentle. pH 3.5

h2o+ Raspberry Guava Shower & Bath Gel – This smells incredible, lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves me feeling moisturized. pH 2.0

Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera – This cleans well and lathers nicely. For the price, it is a nice hand soap. There is not much scent to this for those who prefer that. pH 5.0

it’s a 10 miracle leave-in plus Keratin – It detangles beautifully. My hair feels more moisturized when I use this, too. pH 5.0

HEMPZ Age Defying Renewing Herbal Body Wash – This is a rich, moisturizing body wash that takes a lot of product. If it did not take so much, I would buy it. pH 4.5

h2o+ Sparkling Currant Shower & Bath Gel – This smells lovely (Raspberry Guava smells better), lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves me feeling moisturized. pH 3.5

Vitabath Spa Day Lavender Chamomile Body Wash – This is a thin, but it takes a lot of product. I find the lavender scent very relaxing. If it did not take so much, I would but it. pH 5.0

Willing to Try Again

e.l.f. Volumizing & Defining Mascara – This lacks on the volume, but it does a great job on the defining. My lashes are separated and not clumpy at all. If you want a natural look, this is a great mascara of that. pH 5.5

Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Day Lotion – The scent is very strong. I also wish it was a little thicker. Summer was the only season where it provided enough moisture for my skin. pH 5.0

Sephora Quick-Fix Hair Tie – These never leave much indent in my hair (although it has happened). I like that they fit my wrist nicely (other than the ones with prints that are a little tight and never really loosen). They look as nice on my wrist as they do in my hair. It does appear I am losing more hair than usual. If I find out this hair tie is the reason, I will demote it.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara – When I apply one coat, I like this mascara. It does make my lashes look bigger. If I apply a second coat, they start clumping together no matter how careful I am. My lashes typically look longer with two coats, so I prefer other mascaras. pH 3.5

hello extra whitening fluoride toothpaste – I just prefer Sensodyne, but this was fine. There was no added sensitivity, but my teeth did not get whiter either. pH 7.6

Manna Kadar relax Sea Minerals Renewing Hand Lotion – There is just no substance to this hand lotion. It is really thin and it absorbs completely (which I dislike). I am also not a huge fan of the strong fragrance. The only reason it is here and not lower is I purchased three without knowing if they were good. This was my first, so I still have two left. Not bashing it too much might give me the motivation for finish it. If I still feel this way when I am all done, expect to see a demotion. pH 5.0

HASK Charcoal Purifying Conditioner – I prefer the shampoo, but I did like this. My hair did not feel as soft with this as it does with a mask, so I could not pair it with the clarifying shampoo. It did seem to work fine with a regular shampoo, even though it did not help much with tangles. pH 6.0

yes to Grapefruit Correct & Repair brightening Facial Wipes – These dried out after I used only 1 wipe. I cannot even remember what I thought of it. Since then, I rewet a few to remove swatches. The pack started smelling bad, so I threw most of them out. It could have been a faulty pack or user error, so I would test these again. pH 5.0

Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara – It has fibers that catch onto the ends of lashes making them look a lot longer. My eyes never get irritated with this from fibers falling into them, which is my main fear of fiber mascaras. Even when I layer this, my lashes do not get clumpy. Granted, I always stick to one or two coats, so brave souls who venture into a third coat might find a different outcome. This mascara also gives a slight curl to my straight lashes. It looks even better if I curl my lashes, which I usually don’t. Why curl them when they will fall in 30 minutes? It just adds an extra, unnecessary step. With this, it is worth it. The brush on this sample is amazing. I can get every lash easily in two quick passes. It does smudge every time I wear it, and I also get some flaking. If it wasn’t for the flaking and smudging, this would have been a contender for my favorite. Until it starts to break down, it looks amazing though. pH 5.0

Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer – I could not use this in fall or winter, because it left my skin feeling parched. It fared much better in spring and summer. There is a nice SPF, so I like the added sun protection. pH 3.5

Not For Me

Dial Cherry Blossom Moisturizing Hand Soap – I made the mistake of buying three of these based on how I feel about similar scents from this line. This one was overpowering to the point where it was uncomfortable to use it. My husband refused to use it at all, so we had two soaps on the sink to even get through it. The worst part is it did not even lather with one pump every time, so I would use two pumps. Double the pump, double the fragrance. pH 4.0

Delectable ultra nourishing Hand Cream lemon & cream – The cream itself is wonderful. It has a nice, hydrating formula. This is rich and does not completely absorb, which I love. I could not get over the scent though. There is a stale odor. At first, I thought it went bad before I opened it. Then, I checked reviews. Seems like this scent is just a miss in the otherwise impressive line. pH 4.5

Core Collection: My Summer 2019 Favorites

Fall is officially here, so it is time to go over my favorites from the 2019 summer season. I like to call these my core collection items, because I find myself reaching for them over similar products in my stockpiles. These are items I am still working on, so they will not make the Empties article for this season. Each is still worthy of discussion, so this is the place I like to do that. Items I am still in love with once I empty them become FabuFinds. While I cannot promise I will ever finish these (some products expire before I can empty them) and I cannot promise I will still love them enough to label them as FabuFinds upon completion, I loved them throughout this season. Many of these items are serious contenders for my Best of the Year article. There were six items I really enjoyed this summer.

Deal or No Deal Urban Decay Naked Honey Review

This is my Urban Decay Naked Honey review. My Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette is complete. It’s important to mention that. Because I own all of them, I know each palettes strengths and weakness and could probably rank them, if I took the time to think about it. Of course, ranking is subjective based off what I like and what looks best on me, so I will avoid that, for now. Every time a new Naked palette comes out, I tell myself I do not need it. After all, how many neutral palettes from one brand can someone have!

Sephora Beauty Insider Sweeps September 26th Through October 5th

There is another Sephora Beauty Insider Sweeps running from September 26th through October 5th. This one gives away $25,000 a day for 10 days. Each of the 10 winners will be drawn and notified on October 6th. Even though I did not win anything with the last promotion, I am taking my chances again. Paying 150 points for a chance to win $25,000 does seem like a lot, especially given that 200-300 points entered you for a million dollar prize in the last game. I guess I am a glutton for punishment, unless I actually win something.
