FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Review With Add-ons
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Review
By Kimberly
This is my FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Review With Add-ons. I ordered two FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription boxes and some add-ons, so I have a lot to go over. FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription that releases one box per season. Boxes have over $200 in value. The items are always full-sized and include products from: beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness lines. Subscribers can either pay $179.99 for an annual subscription ($20 off when buying 4 boxes up front) or $49.99 for a Seasonal subscription.
Shipping is free, but sales tax gets charged (in certain states). There is usually a code to receive $10 off your first seasonal box. Those codes are fffa2p6 and FAB10. Members can select add-ons at deeply discounted prices to include with their boxes. All subscribers get to customize some choice options, but Annual Subscribers (select members) get extra choices.

FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Overview
Overview
There are 8 full-size items in this box. That makes the cost of each item $6.25 (if you paid $49.99 for the box). Of course, the cost goes down for those who paid less. This box has a very winter theme, depending on what you select.
The subscription box I received on my main account has a $315.95 value. This is on my annual account.
My seasonal account, which I paid $49.95 for has a $333.99 value.
The items I selected for my first box were the ones I would have picked if I only had one choice, so these are always the items I want more.
There were three Spring designs for the boxes this season. I received the pink one inside a large box on my main subscription, so it arrived in good shape.
I received the yellow one on my seasonal subscription. Because I did not order anything with it, it was shipped in its own box. Thus, I cannot reuse it.
Everything comes on top of white crinkle cut paper wrapped in white tissue, sealed with a sticker.
This is my second box.
Every box teams with a philanthropic cause. This box supports the Every box teams with a philanthropic cause. This box supports Dress For Success. The not-for-profit organization provides a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive.
There were some inserts from Hello Fresh.
Another one came from Byte.
Magazine
Each box comes with a magazine. The Cover model for this feature is Gina Rodriguez, who starred on Jane the Virgin.
It goes over all the available products available for this box.
This includes brief descriptions along with the cost to purchase each item.
With more customization, the feature now spreads across three pages.
There are features on some of the products, including the light therapy device, which I got.
With everything that’s going on in the world now, I’ve been sleeping more than usual. I like anything that can help me with that endeavor.
A brief spotlight goes over some of the beauty products.
I actually own all of these through different FabFitFun boxes.
This excerpt gives more information on these packing cubes along with some tips.
There was a large spread on the cover model.
We get to see what models of different sizes look like in the perfect spring coat.
Some business owners got special spotlights.
My favorite section is always the discount codes we get when we shop elsewhere.
Once again, there were so many offers that they spanned across two pages.
FabFitFun Spring Shipping Schedule
There are three shipping groups. All annual subscriber boxes and those who have a military address bill and ship in group one. Seasonal subscribers who select add-ons, extra customizations, are international, or are overseas bill and ship in Group two. The final group is seasonal subscribers who add nothing extra to their boxes. Group 1 got billed on February 7th and all boxes should have shipped by March 8th.
Those in the second group were billed on February 20th and should have shipped by March 21st. The third group got billed on February 27th and all boxes should have shipped by March 28th. My first order was split into two boxes. The three boxes went out on 02/14/20 (annual shipment 1) 02/21/20 (annual shipment 2), 02/28/20 (seasonal box). They got delivered on 02/15/20, 02/21/20, and 03/04/20.
All FabFitFun subscribers got to customize three choice options.
Annual subscribers got to customize five items, and seasonal subscribers got to customize three. This is only available during the customization window. First time subscribers can choose as they sign up (within the first hour) or they will get a randomly selected box from the current season or an editor’s box if the seasonal box is sold-out.
The annual customization window for the FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box was from February 2nd to February 5th. Seasonal members customized from February 15th to February 18th. Members get one choice from each customization row included with the cost of the box. For those who want more than choice per row, they can add extra choices in a given customization row for $15, $10, or $7 each as long as supplies last. Those who arrive at the beginning of the annual customization window can usually add every extra choice if they want to. Popular items will run out of inventory leaving those who arrive later with less extra options.
FabFitFun Customization Options Spring 2020 Box

FabFitFun Spring 2020 Customization 1
reVive Light Therapy® Glo Wrinkle and Anti-Aging Light ($68), DONNI. Ribbed Sweater Coat ($99), Caravan Home Decor Diamond Woven Rug ($48), Summer & Rose Navy Diamond Tote ($50), west elm Indigo Tie-Dye Bowls -set of 3 ($39), or Elemis Peptide4 Night Recovery Cream ($59). You get 1 included with the cost of your box. Add extras for $15 each while supplies last.
I selected the reVive Light Therapy® Glo Wrinkle and Anti-Aging Light in my first box. This is a tool I’ve wanted to try for a while, but I was skeptical it would work. I’m also lazy and knew I would not take the time it requires to get the desired results if it does work. So far, I’ve only used it once. The only thing I can report back is the tool turns on, and I do not like seeing the light near my eyes. In order to give this a proper review, I will need to use it more.
I selected the DONNI. Ribbed Sweater Coat in my second box. By the time it arrived, it was no longer cold outside. It is not the most attractive piece I own, so I will probably only use it indoors. My issue is it is boxy, so it makes me look bigger than I am. The color and material are nice, so it could work with a scarf or belt. When it gets cold again, I will start playing with it to see if I can make it work outdoors.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Customization 2
CALPAK Set of 3 Packing Cubes in Tutti Fruitti or Sorbet ($40), Murad® Rapid Collagen Infusion™ ($78), Shoshanna Daisy Dream Umbrella ($40), tarte™ Rainforest of the Sea™ drink of H2O hydrating boos, ($39), tarte™ tarteistTM PRO glow highlight & contour palette ($45), or 111SKIN Rose Gold Radiance Booster ($160). You get 1 included with the cost of your box. Add extras for $15 each while supplies last.
I selected the CALPAK Set of 3 Packing Cubes in Sorbet in my first box. It seems like I am always short one packing cube every time my whole family takes a long trip. For a while I had been meaning to order a set, but I kept thinking I would get one in a mystery bundle. This seemed like fate. Bonus points that I love the sorbet design. The only drawback is I do not like material on these packing cubes. They are almost paper thin, and I feel like they might rip on our first trip. We’ll see.
Even though I did not need a second set, I selected the CALPAK Set of 3 Packing Cubes in Tutti Fruitti in my second box. I already owned all the other items, except the umbrella. We have multiple umbrellas though. In this category, I just felt like packing cubes would be the best item to have dupes of. That way, I am covered if any I have now get lost or broken. Now that they’ve arrived, I feel these new ones are more likely to break before the ones I’ve had fore years will.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Customization 3
Amber Sceats™ Double Coin Necklace ($50), Gravity Weighted Sleep Mask ($39.99-Amazon price may vary), WEI™ Two-in-One Purify and Glow Mask Collection ($45), Cosmedix Pure C ($54), and Green Goo Hibiscus Plant-Based Body Scrub ($35-Amazon price may vary). You get 1 included with the cost of your box. Add extras for $10 each while supplies last.
I selected the WEI™ Two-in-One Purify and Glow Mask Collection in my first box, because I am a huge fan of mud masks from this brand. They always leave my skin feeling so soft and clean. Hopefully, the sugar mask is just as good.
I selected the Gravity Weighted Sleep Mask in my second box. So far, I have not been brave enough to sleep with it on, but I like laying silently with it on to meditate. It helps me relax. If I can get over the fear that it will smother me when I sleep, I will try sleeping with it.

aria Beauty Luxe Detangling Electro Plated Brush ($35 or $39.99), Jabonería Marianella Imperial Jade Body Oil ($68), Stone Cold Fox Tea Towels ($38), or AVEDA damage remedy™ daily hair repair ($31). You get 1 included with the cost of your box. Add extras for $7 each while supplies last.
I selected the Jabonería Marianella Imperial Jade Body Oil in my first box, because I love trying new oils. This is one I almost purchased in a past add-on sale and dropped when I had to cut my cart.
My second box is seasonal, so I did not get to make a selection. Though I hoped I would get the brush, I got another oil. At least it was something I really wanted, so the duplicate is not so bad.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Customization 5
AG Hair Care Fast Food Moisture ($24), Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray ($29-Amazon price may vary), Lovescript Body Wash ($28), Speaqua Cruiser Bluetooth® Wireless Speaker ($24.99), Ciaté London Fierce Flicks Precision Tip Liquid Liner ($19), Eparé Dual Salt and Pepper Mill ($21.95-Amazon price may vary), or a mystery choice worth $23. You get 1 included with the cost of your box. Add extras for $7 each while supplies last.
I selected the Eparé Dual Salt and Pepper Mill in my first box, because I regretted not selecting it during a previous box. Many people raved about this product. It has lived up to our expectations and is performing better than both salt and pepper grinders I’ve purchased. This one does not leak at all, and it is very sturdy.
I received the AG Hair Care Fast Food Moisture in my second box. This is the item I was hoping for, so it worked out. My hair needs leave-in conditioner, and this is one I have not tried yet. It is not a spray like I prefer, so I hope it does not weigh my hair down. We shall see how it goes.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Item 6 (Selected by FabFitFun)
thisworks deep sleep body cocoon ($40), or whish Blue Matcha Restoring Mask ($58).
FabFitFun selected the thisworks deep sleep body cocoon for me in both boxes. I already own the mask, so I am fine with this. People seem to love this product, so I am thinking of offering the dupe in my next giveaway, which I will start soon. It is a lavender body lotion that helps induce sleep.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Item 7 (Selected by FabFitFun)
Chic & Tonic Silicone Straws ($15), Wander Beauty Mile high Club Volume and Length Mascara ($26), or Spongelle body wash infused buffer in Black Orchid ($16).
FabFitFun selected the Chic & Tonic Silicone Straws for me in box boxes. I already own the other items, so I am fine with this. My family only has 4, so I have enough to be lazy, host another family, or replace some when they inevitably get lost or ruined.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Item 8 (Selected by FabFitFun)
WINKY LUX RAINBOW TINTED BALM ($18), pūrlisse Watermelon Energizing 2 Minute Polishing Peel ($24), or Avene Thermal Spring Water ($14-Amazon price may vary).
FabFitFun selected the WINKY LUX RAINBOW TINTED BALM for me in the first box. This is the item I wanted, because I am constantly testing lip balms for a massive lip balm comparison article I will probably never publish. I am still backlogged on balms to try, so I have not gotten to this one yet. It’s really pretty though.
FabFitFun selected the Avene Thermal Spring Water in my second box. Though I enjoy this water, I was hoping for the pūrlisse mask, because I already own this. It is very refreshing, so I do not mind having another.
My Second FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Review
I did not add anything, so I was in group three. This was a seasonal box that I paid $49.99 for.
I already covered all the items above, so I will just briefly say that I have no regrets paying $50 for all these extra items. It would have been better if all the items I wanted were not in the first customization, but I knew I did not have the strength to pass on a blanket with any box. A part of me still wants a fourth box.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-Ons
My favorite part of this subscription is the ability to purchase add-ons. These products get discounted 30-70% off. The add-on window opened to select members on February 1st at 9am and closed February 5th at 11:59pm. It opened to all members on February 14th at 9am and closed February 18th at 11:59pm. Members were only charged for items that were still in their carts at 11:59pm on the day their sale ended. This means items are not officially sold-out until then. As members remove things from their cart throughout the sale, you can add them to yours. I suggest adding items you missed to your favorites, so you can periodically check them until the sale is over.
I only shopped add-ons in window one.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-Ons Bundles
Bundles are great to purchase when you want all or most of the items in the curation, because you save over buying all items individually. Even when there is a weak item (based on personal preference in the bundle), you should consider the bundle if it costs about the same as the items you want. When it is only $1-$5 more, you can always gift the superfluous item. The best scenario is when the bundle with the item you do not want costs less than purchasing the items you do want separately. It is rare, but that does happen.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-ons Mystery Bundle $29
The mystery bundle was $29 and usually has a value over $100. It includes 3-5 items. I have a separate article to track all Mystery Bundles I order, so I will never go into great detail in the haul I purchased the bundle with. If you want more details on this bundle or any other mystery bundle I order, view that article. My items were: Nelson J The Purple Treatment for Blondes, $33* Amazon price may vary ($9 FabFitFun price), Eco. Aroma 100% pure essential oils Fight the Flu, $32 ($17 FabFitFun price), juice BEAUTY Green Apple Brightening Emulsion, $48 ($17 FabFitFun price), and gülsha Ultimate Rosewater Spray, $10* Amazon price may vary ($5 FabFitFun price).
That brings the value for this $29 mystery bundle to $123 Had I purchased the items separately through FabFitFun, I would have paid $48 Getting them in the bundle saved $19.
Single FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-ons
MYTAGALONGS Core Sliding Discs
The MYTAGALONGS Fitness Sliding Discs retail for $24. FabFitFun sells them for $7. These glide on my wood floors with ease, but they are a little small for my husband who I bought them for.
Suntique I’m Hair Sun & Treatment
The Suntique I’m Hair Sun & Treatment retails for $19 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $9. I’m always on the lookout for something to protect my scalp. It gets pretty burned, so I hope this helps. According to its report, this is only equivalent to an SPF 15, which is still better than nothing.
Bambooee™ Premier Plush Series Queen Pillow
The Bambooee™ Premier Plush Series Queen Pillow retails for $59.99 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $19. I decided to pick up two, even though I like my Tempur-Pedic pillow. My husband had been using the same Purple pillow for nearly three years and had been complaining of neck pains. Though I love my Purple mattress, I tried sleeping with that 10 pound pillow and could not do it. This pillow took time to adjust. It flattens as you lay on it, and I am used to more support. Since I started using this, I have less pain. My husband has had similar results. If this pillow returns, I will grab two more for my kids.
TowelTopper® Towel Band
The TowelTopper® Towel Band retails for $14.95. FabFitFun sells this for $5. I purchased three, so each of my boys could have one. My husband refused to even try his, and my older son only tried it once before determining it was too much work. Only my younger son, who loves to sit in his towel, uses it. If I ever take a break from a bath robe and use a towel, I will try this.
Karuna Exfoliating Foot Mask Pack
The Karuna Exfoliating Foot Mask Pack retails for $48 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells them for $11. There are 5 masks in this set, which equates to $2.20 a peel.
I don’t peel my feet as often as I would like, but I’ve been purchasing a lot of these lately, so I will have to step it up to use all of them before they expire. This is one I have not tried before.
My husband just did his first foot peel a few days ago. I should have had him try this one to review it for you, but I am not smart. Once I review these, I will write a separate article though. Use the search bar to see if I’ve written it (if it’s been a while since I published this).
AvryBeauty Shea Butter Gloves & Socks
The AvryBeauty Shea Butter Gloves & Socks retail for $30 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells them for $9. I do not use these type of treatments as often as I’d like, because they are usually too expensive. At $1.50 each, I am in. My husband is getting ready to use the shea butter foot socks once his feet stop peeling. A review should be ready soon.
Image Skincare I Mask Anti-Aging Hydrogel Sheet Masks
The Image Skincare I Mask Anti-Aging Hydrogel Sheet Masks retail for $35 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells them for $7. I’m not usually into anti-aging or hydrogel sheet masks. They are both pretty gimmicky and rarely work. This package has a set of 5. For $1.40 a mask, I figured I’d gamble. After all, I am getting older.
FlatBox Original 2-in-1 Lunch Bag + Placemat
The FlatBox Original 2-in-1 Lunch Bag + Placemat retails for $16.99. FabFitFun sells this for $7.
My son always loses his lunchbox. By the time he finds it, the smell inside is unbearable. I love that this one is machine washable. The only caveat is he does not like how long it takes to zip and unzip it.
His drink is also too big to fit inside, and he complains about carrying it. So, this has become a backup lunchbox when the main one is lost. On the bright side, he dislikes it enough to encourage him to find the lost one faster.
D.L. & Co. Vanilla Creme Reed Diffuser
The D.L. & Co. Vanilla Creme Reed Diffuser retails for $55. FabFitFun sells it for $14. This has a lovely fragrance, and the throw is nice. It has some of my husband’s favorite scents, but I really enjoy it, too. You can smell the heavy cream, black vanilla beans, nutmeg, and bourbon all over downstairs where the diffuser is located. Of course, vanilla is the strongest scent, so it smells very sweet.
When Beauty Special Package
The When Beauty Special Package retails for $35. FabFitFun sells it for $7. It includes 5 sheet masks. You get the following masks to address the visible signs of aging, skin firmness, tone, texture, and radiance.
- 10:00 PM Mask
- Glamour Base Mask
- Travelmate Mask
- Snow Magic Mask
- The Last Choice Mask
EleVen by Venus Resistance Rope
The EleVen by Venus Resistance Rope retails for $20. FabFitFun sells this for $5.
I’m extremely impressed with how well made this is. It is easily worth the $20, so getting it for $5 is a steal. If this pops back up, grab it.
Not only have I used this a lot since it arrived, but my 13-year-old plays with it constantly. He has not snapped it yet. This is a kid who breaks everything he touches. He literally just took my wireless headphones, because he broke the previous two pairs I gave him.
Pixi Beauty Glow Mist Supersize
The Pixi Beauty Glow Mist Supersize retails for $20. FabFitFun sells this for $9. I love trying new mists, and I already love the Pixi Glow Tonic. This will probably be great as well. It promises to hydrate and moisturize while giving your face a glowing, luminous, and smooth complexion. That is exactly what my skin needs.
FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Overview
This box has a $1240.75 value (Box 1 $315.95), (Box 2 $333.99), and Add-ons ($590.81). FabFitFun reimbursed me what I paid for the first box. Before tax, I paid $49.99 for box 2. For add ons my pre-tax total was $167. That leaves my FabFitFun pre-tax expenses at $216.99. My discount was over 82% off.
That brings the average box value for the year to $315.95, because I only use the main box items to calculate this. This is also the first box of the year. My personal value on the main box is $315.95, because I kept everything in the first box. On the second box, my personal value is at least $393.99, because I might gift the body cocoon. It should make a nice gift. I don’t think I’ll give away anything else unless I dislike the first oil once I open it. Then, I would gift the unopened second. Otherwise, I will keep both.
Was the FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box Worth It?
This box is definitely worth more than the $39.99 to $49.99 people would pay for it. While there is no way FabFitFun could have known we would have been trapped in our homes when it curated this, there are a lot of items from the masks, to the light, to the boxy sweater, to gravity mask, to the silicone straws that say stay put. We’ve got you covered. It was so well themed.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
I loved the smell of the This works stuff! So good.

I have not tried it yet, because I have older creams I need to use first. The duplicate will almost certainly make it into the giveaway though, so the winner can try it out.
