The Sephora Birthday Rewards 2020 are just the beginning. There are Sephora Rewards throughout the year for every rewards tier. I track them for every Rewards level, Beauty Insider, VIB, and Rouge. Because there are quite a few losses this year, I also track updates to 2020 Sephora Rewards.

Sephora Beauty Insider Members Can Choose One From the Three Following Sephora Birthday Gifts 2020 All Year

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 1

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 Sol de Janeiro

– 0.84oz Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($10)
– 0.84oz Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream ($10)

The Sephora Birthday gift 2020 review Sol de Janeiro is my first. This Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 includes Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and the Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream. I’ve already done a comprehensive Sol de Janeiro Review on these products, but I will summarize it here. While I may pick this gift up later in the year, the samples above did not come from the Sephora Birthday gift. I got the Coco Cabana as a 100-point perk and the Bum Bum cream in my Sephora Play December 2019 Box.

I predict this will be the most popular Sephora birthday gift 2020 this year, so I hope there is still inventory left when December birthdays roll around. Sephora does not sell them in this size often, but they retail for $10 when they do. These products have a cult following and for good reason. Yes, they are overpriced, but I do not like to $5.56 an ounce for any body product, even one I adore.

The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream has a medium density, but it is not as moisturizing as the Coco Cababa Cream. If this did not have the most delicious smelling Butter Cookie scent, I would probably prefer Coco Cabana, but I love smelling like a cookie. Neither provide enough moisture in the winter or fall, so I have to pack them away until spring or summer.

The Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream is thinner, but I find it more moisturizing. This one smells like coconuts, although the original version smelled like kettle corn. While I liked the kettle corn, I prefer the coconut scent. My absolute favorite thing about these moisturizers is the sparkle. There is a subtle glitter. When you are indoors it is imperceptible. Even when you are outdoors, you have to catch the sun at the right angle. Once you do, you will glisten beautifully. It is just stunning.

If you do not like glitter, this is not the moisturizer for you, but understand that it is very subtle. Both creams leave me with sparkling skin, but here is the best picture that captures it.

Verdict: These are heavily fragranced, not the most moisturizing, are expensive, and have glitter in them. On paper, they sound awful. Yet, they’re magical. They’re not sampled super often, so I say go for it if you’ve been wanting to see what all the fuss is about. If you’re sensitive to scents, have super dry skin, hate glitter, or do not want to risk falling in love with an expensive body product you’d have to repurchase often, you might want to select something else. Did you review the 2020 Sephora Birthday Gift Sol de Janeiro Set? Sephora Birthday Gift 2020 Review 2

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 Briogeo

– 1oz Briogeo Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo ($5.25)
– 1oz Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask ($4.50)

The Sephora Birthday gift 2020 review Briogeo is my second. This Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 includes Briogeo Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo, and the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask. I actually had an open container of the deep conditioning mask in my shower when the birthday gifts were announced, but I had not yet tried the Scalp Revival.

Okay, I am going to be perfectly candid on the mask. I like it. My hair feels soft, less tangled and less frizzy when I use it, but I would never buy it. Why? No matter how careful I am not to get it too close to my scalp it makes it itch a little. It came in a FabFitFun box and even though I saw that it has avocado, which I am allergic to, I decided to try it anyway. Sometimes I react. Other times I don’t. The reaction is near bad, and my hair always looks better the day I use this than the day before, so I figure I will finish it. After I finish it, I will use other products though.

I definitely felt the peppermint in the shampoo. It has a cooling sensation. My head felt very zen. This was refreshing. However, it took 3/4 of the jar to wash my hair once. At 8oz for $42, it would cost me $3.94 every time I washed my hair. That’s a little steep.

There is a little texture to the Briogeo Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo, but not a lot. It does not feel abrasive at all.

This is what my hair looked like after it air dried using both products. Sure there is a little frizz, but that is not bad for my hair. It usually looks a lot worse with the average shampoo and conditioner.

Verdict: If you do not mind investing in expensive hair care (or at least trying it out), and the hair concerns these products target might help you, I’d say grab this one. The scalp revival has to be the most gentle scalp exfoliant with the most cooling sensation I’ve ever tried. It really is something else. Minus my slight avocado allergy, I think I could have loved that hair mask. I’d say pass on this if you would never consider purchasing high end hair products or if you are not into hair masks or exfoliating scalp products. Those who do not have scalp issues or dandruff may not need such an expensive shampoo either and this deep conditioner is a really easy sample to come by. So, grabbing one of the other gifts might be a better choice for you. Did you review the 2020 Sephora Birthday Gift Briogeo Set? Sephora Birthday Gift 2020 Review 3

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 Milk Makeup

– 0.1oz Milk Makeup KUSH Mascara ($9.23)
– 0.21oz Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk ($15)
– 0.05oz Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer Packette ($0)

The Sephora Birthday gift 2020 review Milk Makeup is my third. This Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 includes Milk Makeup KUSH Mascara, the Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk, and the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip. Sephora offered the Kush mascara in the 2019 Birthday gift as well. I reviewed it then. My feelings have not really changed.

If Sephora was going to repeat a Milk product from the 2019 Milk Makeup Birthday Gift, I would have preferred another Cooling Water. That is a Milk Makeup product that I adore so much that I named into my Top 10 Beauty products of 2019!

I already owned the Milk Hydro Grip Primer before my friend picked up this birthday gift as well. That came in my Sephora Favorites Superstars 2019. My makeup stays on all day and my skin feels nice and hydrated, even in the dead of winter. I have really dry skin, too. Because I still have plenty of this left, I will pass the foil on. This is a primer I will probably purchase once I run out of it.

The Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk is a pretty dusty rose shade. I own this in another shade, but I prefer this one. It suits my skin tone better. It is super emollient, so I find it blends away far too easily. To get what little color I had on my cheeks, I had to keep reapplying and blending.

The end result was lovely, but it was nowhere near as effortless as Milk Makeup leads you to believe. I had to apply it four times. Once I got it on, it did last most of the day, which is more than I can say for most blushes on my skin. That could give more credit to the blush or the primer. Who knows! It doubles as a lis product, but I am wearing a different lip product above. At some point, I will come back and provide a picture and review as a lip product.

It has fibers that catch onto the ends of lashes making them look a lot longer. My eyes never get irritated with this from fibers falling into them, which is my main fear of fiber mascaras. Even when I layer this, my lashes do not get clumpy. Granted, I always stick to one or two coats, so brave souls who venture into a third coat might find a different outcome.

This mascara gives a slight curl to my straight lashes. The brush on this sample is amazing. I can get every lash easily in two quick passes. It does smudge every time I wear it, and I also get some flaking. If it wasn’t for the flaking and smudging, this would have been a contender for my favorite. Until it starts to break down, it looks amazing though.

Verdict: If you’ve wanted to try this mascara that everyone raves about, you just might enjoy it. The wand really does hug every lash and clumping is nearly impossible even though it is a fiber mascara. It is like fairies make it. If it did not smudge and flake off giving me raccoon eyes, it would be perfect. My guess is the people who love it do not get smudges or flaking. You could be one of those lucky bastards. You’ll never know unless you try it. While the foil is not the selling point of this gift, those with dry skin might really want to see what this primer is about. Primers like this might feel like a game changer. Then again, you could always slather on a really rich moisturizer before applying makeup. Nobody is probably after the lip and cheek tint, but for those who are this is not going to make your on the go routine faster. Applying one product four times does equal speed and getting something that big on your lips won’t be easy either. You may want to pass on this if you have hooded eyes or you sweat a lot around your eyes. The mascara will go everywhere. Did you review the 2020 Sephora Birthday Gift Milk Makeup Set? Sephora VIB and Rouge Members Get Four Sephora Birthday Gift 2020 Options. They Can Choose From The Three Above or a Choice Below, Which Rotates By Quarter

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 4

Sephora Birthday Gift Review 2020 Jo Malone Quarter One (January, February, and March)

– 0.3oz Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne ($21)

The Sephora Birthday gift 2020 review Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne is my fourth. I already owned a small vial of this. To show the size you will receive, I also placed it next to my Jo Malone Basil & Neroli bottle. That is a 0.3oz sample like the one in the Sephora Birthday gift 2020. It is a well constructed, yet simple fragrance sample.

I love this fragrance. It comes from two of my favorite scent families, fresh and aquatics. The key notes are Ambrette Seeds, Sea Salt, Sage. It is a subtle fragrance. This is exactly what I look for in a scent because overpowering aromas give me a headache. If I had to list one drawback, it’s that it does not last all day. While it is not the most expensive fragrance ever, it is not the cheapest, I wish the scent lasted longer.

Verdict: I am not even a fragrance lover, but this is one that speaks to me. It is soft and subtle. This will never overtake an elevator or a small space. The drawback is it will not last all day either. Grab this is you love the way the sea smells when it meets the earth. Try this if you want to try something new that is simple and not overwhelming. Avoid it if you don’t. Stay away if you hate reapplying fragrance. Did you review the 2020 Sephora Birthday Gift Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne?
