FabFitFun Mystery Bundles 2020: Reviews

FabFitFun Mystery Bundles 2020: Reviews

By Kimberly

Reviews for my FabFitFun Mystery Bundles 2020 will go in this article. See my FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Reviews for 2018 and 2019. I like to order a mystery bundle in every sale. It’s fun to see what I will get. Subscription Boxes are a gamble. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, and other times I am not sure. You never know when you initially think you’ve received a dud only to discover a gem or vice versa. Since I gamble on subscription boxes, why shouldn’t I gamble on Mystery Bundles? It’s the same concept, right?

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding FabFitFun Mystery Bundles

What is a FabFitFun Mystery Bundle?

A FabFitFun Mystery Bundle retails for $29 (unless you are receiving one for free when you sign up for a new membership) and usually has a value over $100. The $100 value is once again advertised, but some bundles still fall short. Most bundles have over a $100 value. It usually has 3-5 items.

Do I have to be a member to purchase a FabFitFun Mystery Bundle?

Yes, only FabFitFun members can shop the events and purchase bundles. Use code FAB10 for $10 off the FabFitFun Spring 2020 Box subscription. Then, you can purchase a bundle in the next flash sale.

Where Can I buy a FabFitFun Mystery Bundle?

They are sold in the Edit Sales and as Add-ons to the seasonal boxes. Click those links to see the schedules, products, and details on each event. You can occasionally get them for free when you sign up for a new subscription. To do this, you must use a promo code designated to a mystery bundle. These codes are not available often, but they do pop up 4-5 times a year.

What Comes in the FabFitFun Mystery Bundles?

I have plenty of examples in my previous article if you’ve found this one when I have not filled it in much. The short answer is almost anything from lifestyle, to fitness, to beauty, to clothes, and  more.

What Do the Numbers on the FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Mean?

Every sale, there is one number on the mystery bundles that has a lot of variety. The other numbers usually house the same items meaning everyone with 004 or 008 will get whatever the others with 004 or 008 received. I will always list the numbers for those who are curious. If I get a bundle before you, there is a chance yours will be the same if I do not have the one with all the variety. There is still a chance you could get mine if your shipping confirmation has the same number. I hope you get mine or you don’t, depending on how you feel about my bundle.

While there are many variations, each one is bound to repeat until FabFitFun gets rid of all supply. Those of us who gamble on these mystery bundles are helping FabFitFun get rid of things that did not sell out in the past, but it usually does not have enough inventory to list it again for another round of add-ons.

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Wine and Dine Sale

The Mystery bundle I ordered from the FabFitFun Wine and Dine Sale was canceled, because they were pulled for being off theme before all bundles were mailed out. While I would have been fine with an off themed bundle, FabFitFun chose not to send the one I ordered at all.

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Spring 2020 Subscription Box

The Mystery bundle I received in the FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Box was 2001-MYS-001. This was the bundle with all the variety this round.

FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-ons Mystery Bundle

This is a pretty good bundle for me. My hair is pretty blonde right now, so I get use from the shampoo. I almost bought this exact essential oil set in a past sale and cut it to get under budget The emulsion and rose water are things I can always use. All of these items are new to my collection, so it gives me new things to try. It is nice to see how affordable the rose water is if I do enjoy it.

FabFitFun Spring 2020 Subscription Add-ons Mystery Bundle

Nelson J The Purple Treatment for Blondes

The Nelson J The Purple Treatment for Blondes retails for $33 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $9. My hair is naturally dirty blonde. I bleached it to color my hair purple. Well, the purple did not take, but my hair is still pretty light. Now would be a good time to try this shampoo, or I can try it after I touch up my hair.

Eco. Aroma 100% pure essential oils Fight the Flu

The Eco. Aroma 100% pure essential oils Fight the Flu retails for $32. FabFitFun sells this for $17. We’ve already tried two of the three oils in this set, and I think it is great. I wish I would have purchased it sooner, because it really opens up your sinuses when you are not feeling well. Then again, I would have two if I purchased it earlier. Maybe it is better that I waited.

juice BEAUTY Green Apple Brightening Emulsion

The juice BEAUTY Green Apple Brightening Emulsion retails for $14.95 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $5. My skin is dull, and I am getting more aging spots all the time. I look forward to trying this even though I do not have a lot of faith it will work. If it does, getting it for such a steal would only make it even better.

gülsha Ultimate Rosewater Spray

The gülsha Ultimate Rosewater Spray retails for $10 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $5. I love sprays to cool down on a hot day. With plenty of hot days just ahead of us, I will be trying this soon.

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Spring 2020 Subscription Box Value

That brings the value for this $29 mystery bundle to $123 Had I purchased the items separately through FabFitFun, I would have paid $48 Getting them in the bundle saved $19. I would have paid $29 for this bundle had I seen the items ahead of time. For $28, I would have purchased the oils and shampoo, so I might as well get the emulsion and rose water for the extra $1.

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Edit Sale Winter 2020

The Mystery bundle I received in the FabFitFun Winter 2020 Edit Sale was 1904-MYS-009. This was the bundle with all the variety this round.

I feel like I had a few mystery bundle duds in a row, then I had a few wins in a row. While I hope my luck continues, I feel like this one was just too good. With the next mystery bundle right around the corner, I feel I am owed a terrible one. My gut is telling me to sit the next one out. If I get a bad one, I will be the first to say, I told you so. Anyway, I will happily use all these items starting with my ear muffs to what my son affectionately calls “snow mountain.”

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Edit Sale Winter 2020 Items

Unreal Fur Short Pile Faux Fur Ear Muffs

The Unreal Fur Short Pile Faux Fur Ear Muffs retail for $50. FabFitFun sells these for $9. These are cute, but I feel the price is way over inflated. First, they are 100% polyester. Second, they are  made in China. Third, they are not available for sell anywhere else other than the FabFitFun Edit Sale meaning they could have slapped any retail price they wanted on them. Nevertheless, I will use them. We have a trip the mountains planned in the next few weeks, and I will see how these work in the snow.

huangjisoo Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser Brightening

The huangjisoo Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser Brightening retails for $25 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $11. This claims to remove all traces of makeup and brighten skin. While I have yet to find a cleanser that truly does both at once, I’ll try it. This claims it is the #1 selling cleanser in South Korea.

Green Goo Large Tin Pain Relief

The Green Goo Large Tin Pain Relief retails for $14.95 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $5. My husband loves this stuff. He lets his hands get dry and cracked to the point where he needs to repair them in the winter. This works well. When he saw that I got another one of these in the mystery bundle he was stoked. Back to his bad habit of repairing after the damage instead of preventing the damage in the first place. Men!

Kim Kimble Vibrating Flat Iron

The Kim Kimble Vibrating Flat Iron retails for $100 (Amazon price may vary). FabFitFun sells this for $65. I already have two flat irons, but my original is still unpacked in the garage from the move. I’m not super fond of the one I received in the FabFitFun box last fall. It works, but I have a feeling this will work better. It was nice to see this. My hair is pretty wavy, so I think this will work through it a little faster.

FabFitFun Mystery Bundle Review Edit Sale Winter 2020 Value

That brings the value of my $29 mystery bundle to $190.95. FabFitFun sells the items for $90. Getting them in the bundle saved me $61. That’s the most I’ve ever saved purchasing a bundle, but I don’t think I’ve ever received a product FabFitFun charged $65 for either. Had I seen the contents ahead of time, I would have purchased this for $29.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
