What is the Ulta Beauty Diamond Welcome Gift for 2020? This is my 2020 Ulta Beauty Diamond Rewards Welcome gift review. I re-qualified in 2019 for the Ulta Diamond Rewards program, so it renews my status through 2020. That means I can once again bring you the 2020 Diamond Reward Perks. I enjoyed this gift a lot more than the one I received for qualifying in 2018 for 2019. Anyone who spends $1200 from January 1st through December 31st in a calendar year will qualify for the Ulta Diamond Rewards program. Within a few weeks of qualifying, Ulta will mail a holographic, pink welcome envelope. The contents will include a certificate to redeem $25 off a beauty service, and a certificate to redeem a full-size beauty product.

The Ulta Beauty Diamond welcome gift, which arrives within a few weeks of qualifying, gets mailed to your house.

I qualified for the Diamond Rewards program on October 12th, but I did not receive my welcome envelope until the beginning of November.

How Long is the 2020 Ulta Beauty Diamond Welcome Gift Valid?

I qualified on October 12th. My service was valid through December 31st while my free gift was valid through December 25th. It gives roughly 2.5 months from the qualification date, but it is really closer to 1.5-2 months once you factor in how long it takes to receive the welcome offer after qualifying.

Ulta Beauty Diamond 2020 Welcome Gift Benefit Brow Bar

As I mentioned above, it included a coupon for $25 off a beauty service. The $25 off works in the Salon, the Skinbar, or the Benefit Brow Bar. I used it to get one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received with the 2018 welcome offer, so I opted for the Benefit Brow Bar service.

I’ve used this service many times and only had one bad experience where the technician took my brows too thin. Thankfully, it was not the first time as my experience with the bad haircut was, so I was willing to return. Since the basic brow service comes in under $25, I added a brow tint. When it comes to leaving money on the table, I would rather go over and pay more than leave free dollars behind. That made it $34, so I had to pay the $9 difference plus a tip. The results were great, so I would happily do this again.

Ulta Beauty Diamond 2019/2020 Welcome Gift Product

There were three options for the full-size welcome gift. Diamond members who qualified when I did could choose a Clinique Foundation ($27-$39), a First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ($21), and a Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($24).

I already owned all of these things, so they were not the best choices for me. Since I like (but not love) all of them, they were not the worst choices either.

I decided to select a Clinique Foundation. Even though I already own a couple, I do not own every one the brand offers. This was the only option that gave me the chance to try something new.

I selected the 1oz Clinique Even Better Refresh Hydrating and Repairing Makeup, which retails for $32.

My skin is really dry, and a foundation with hydrating and repairing in the name intrigued me.

The shade I selected is CN 10 Alabaster, which is very fair with cool, neutral undertones.

I think the shade is a pretty decent match for my skin tone. You can see what my face looks like without makeup in the brow photo above. In this photo, the makeup evens out my skin tone without adding too much coverage.

If you have dry patches or texture (both of which I have), it will cling. That is not a deal breaker in a foundation as I do not expect it to make my skin look flawless.

This does feel extremely comfortable and looks mostly natural. Those are the two things I want most in my foundation. It gets bonus points for hanging on all day. Hanging on in cold weather is easy though. The real test will come when it is hot outside.
