Sephora Favorites Superstars 2019 Review, A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation

I want to offer my 2019 Sephora Favorites Superstars Review, A 2019 Holiday Bonus Sale Recommendation review, because the Sephora 2019 Fall Bonus Sale runs through the 11th. This is something worthy of adding to your shopping list. After some disappointing Sephora Favorites pricing (like the 2019 Sun Safety Kit), I feel this one is priced well. Getting it on sale only adds to the deal. Sephora Favorites are one of my favorite things to purchase whenever there is a mix of full-size and sample products. My limit when they are all samples is $45, which prices me out of some kits. This one comes in under $45 and has two full-size products.

2019 Sephora Favorites Superstars Review

There are nine products in the $48 Sephora Favorites Superstars set. That makes the cost of each item $5.33. Two of the is products are full-size, one is nearly full-size, and six are deluxe.

Everything comes beautifully encased in glitter embossed cardboard. It’s fitting given how much sparkle this set comes with. The cardboard holds everything nicely in place, so everything should arrive intact.

The full-size items cover the price of this kit and save you $15 from purchasing them separately.  A third item is practically full-size, so that only adds to the value.

That makes this worth it for anyone who wants both full-size products. It also makes all of the samples free.

The nearly full-size 0.26oz Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel is worth $20.19. This is already my favorite clear brow gel, because my brows do not move at all once they’re set. It is always nice to get more.

The 0.13oz Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer is worth $5.91. I had been wanting to try this, so it made me happy to see it in the box. It lived up to my expectations. My makeup stayed on all day and my skin felt nice and hydrated.

The full-size 0.086oz NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil in Dolce Vita retails for $27. I already owned this shade in the lipstick version, but I did not own the pencil. Since they wear differently, I decided to keep it.

The dusty rose shade is one of my favorite colors to wear, because it pairs beautifully with so many looks.

Like all NARS lip pencils I’ve tried, this is comfortable, long-lasting, and easy to apply.

The 0.05oz Bite Beauty Agave+ Daytime Vegan Lip Balm is worth $4.67. This is another product I already know and love. It is long-lasting and keeps my lips feeling hydrated for hours after it wears off. I have not tried it since the name change, so I will keep this duplicate and see how it compares. Some say the formula changed when the name did.

The 0.5oz Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray is worth $7.50. I already know and love this setting spray. It takes away the powdery look and helps my makeup last all day. Whether I keep this duplicate or not depends on who in my life needs a setting spray. This is the one I have the most of.

The 0.01oz Benefit Cosmetics Roller Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner retails in this size for $12.

I could not believe how perfect the swatch was. It was really dark, matte, and precise. This has a felt tip, which usually means less precision for those of us with shaky hands.

My hands did shake when I was applying it, so my line was thicker than I wanted it to be. I covered it with some eyeshadow to lighten it everywhere but at the lash line and loved the final result. It lasted all day.

The 0.03oz Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow in Metallic Taupe is worth $17.40.

I love the chrome taupe shade included, because it is neutral with just enough pop to make the eyes sparkle. This can pair nicely with almost any eyeshadow palette. Here I’ve paired it with Urban Decay Naked reloaded.

It required very little blending, but it lasted all day. This is such a great tool for someone in a hurry. When paired with an eyeshadow primer and allowing it to set, it will not crease.

The 0.13oz Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is worth $9.94. I am wearing this in the pictures above, but I only used one coat. Those using more coats will see how voluminous this can get. My preferred look is more defined, so I stick to one coat. This is a mascara I like, but I find the formula a little dry. That results in this going bad before the 3 month mark. It also flakes all over my face during the day. Until the flakes start falling, I like the way it looks, so I prefer not to use this unless I am going out for short periods.

The full-size 0.24oz FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby retails for $36.

I’ve almost purchased this highlighter more than once. The soft champagne sheen and supercharged peachy champagne shimmer spoke to me, but I convinced myself I had enough highlighters.

I used the shimmer on my cheeks and the sheen down my nose. Both looked lovely in the right light, but I prefer the shimmer. It is gorgeous and lasted a long time. Had I purchased it before, I probably would have passed on this set. As I love the set, I am happy I waited.

2019 Sephora Favorites Superstars Overview

This is a neutral set. It adds great pieces to any makeup lovers collection. Whether the makeup style is bold or natural or anything in between, most of these items would be useful. That makes this an excellent set to gift.

Is the 2019 Sephora Favorites Superstars Worth It?

The kit has a $140.61 value, which is over the $137 Sephora estimate. I owned 4 of the items in this set before I received it, but I like one and love three. One of the other four, the NARS, gave me a color I already love in a product I already love. My favorite part of this kit is the highlighter. Even though I knew I would love it, I held off on purchasing it. As expected, I do love it. Thanks to kits like this, I rarely have to purchase brow gel anymore. Overall, I am extremely happy with this set. It would have been better if it included more products like it usually does, but it is usually $75. For a 1/3 price break, I can live with less samples. My personal value on this kit is at least $133.11. I’ve already used everything but the setting spray (already had one open) and the lip balm (already had one open)., Inc.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
