FabuFinds: The Best Finished Products Summer 2019

After I review my Empty Products, I take extra time to go over the standouts. It is a round-up for the best of the best. Only products that seem like they’re made for me make FabuFind status, so there are a lot of items I love that never make it. These are items I would repurchase, even without a deal. Items I am loving but cannot finish any time soon make it into my Core Collection (favorites). To eventually spotlight all FabuFinds, I will never repeat items already mentioned in a past article. That does not mean they lost their magic. An item not spotlighted in a past Empties article may get promoted as I try it more and fall deeper in love. If something gets demoted from FabuFind status (formula changes, skin changes, finding something better, etc), I will note the change in the original article I mentioned it in. There are five products I consider FabuFinds in my Summer 2019 Empties that I have not discussed yet.

The Briogeo Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray conditions well for such a light weight leave-in. Lightweight leave-in treatments do not usually offer the detangling level I need, but this one really does. It helps me brush through my hair with so much ease. For someone with thin, fine hair that tangles easily, this is perfect. My hair gets everything it needs from this, moisture, frizz reduction, and less pulling. I do not have deal with lifeless weighed down hair either, because my hair never falls flat with this. pH 4.0

The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream smells like butter cookies, which would almost be enough on its own to scream, “buy it.” It is supposed to make people think of a tropical locale, but I always think about Christmas. That is likely because I feel like I am indulging in a tin of butter cookies families place out every time the holidays roll around. The smell invigorates the senses (for those who enjoy it), so we are left feeling very satisfied. It does a great job in spring and summer at providing moisture (but is not rich enough in fall or winter) for my dry skin. The scent always makes me think of winter, so it is a pleasant reminder. Of every scented moisturizer I’ve ever tried, this is one of the longest lasting. You can still smell it over 24 hours later. That is great for those who love the fragrance and not good for those who don’t.

The thing that really makes this moisturizer special is missing in the very fine, micro glitter. You can only see it when the light hits your skin just right. It gives the skin a little luminosity. I like feeling like Edward Cullen for a second when the light hits it perfectly. This subtle glitter is so nuanced that it is almost imperceptible indoors and radiates perfectly outside. There is no way to describe this propriety glow other than just plain gorgeous. pH 4.0

The Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion is right up there with Kate Somerville Exfolikate and dr. brandt Microdermabrasion. Those are both already FabuFinds. This competes well and smells better than both. It has a light, citrus scent. There is an obvious reduction in pore size, and my skin looks and feels very clean. My skin also feels so soft afterward. This is so gentle, so it does not irritate my skin. I did not notice a decrease in dark spots, but it did brighten my face. If I purchased a full-size, which I will once I’ve depleted some of my stash, I will have to see if it does that over time. pH 3.5

I know it is silly to name h2o+ Raspberry Guava Shower & Bath Gel as a FabuFind. After all, h2o+ Beauty stopped making it. It’s decision to stop making it was a mistake. The bath gels in all the fun scents were always amazing. While I never found one I disliked, I never found one I loved this much. This one smells incredible. Why did h2o+ discontinue this! Between the wonderful aroma, the great lather, how clean it rinses, and how moisturized it makes me feel, there is not a bad thing I can say about it. If I had to pick one, it is a little to acidic. pH 2.0

I’ve always enjoyed the way it’s a 10 miracle leave-in plus Keratin made my hair look and feel. My hair is so soft and virtually flyaway free. There was so much moisture added that my hair never looks dry or dull. It has this amazing way of smoothing hair out without weighing it down, which is impressive given it is a thicker leave-in. Hair looks shiny an frizz reduction is there in spades. The one thing it fell short on was detangling. I need a really strong detangler for my fine, thin hair that tangles if someone even breathes on it. This product went from being weak on detangling to detangling beautifully. That officially makes it my favorite leave-in conditioner of all time, not that the one at the top isn’t also amazing. pH 5.0

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
