Sample Source Spring 2019 Review
SampleSource provides free samples in exchange for your opinion. Register and fill out your profile. If samples suited to your profile become available, they will send you an email. Quantities are limited, so respond as soon as you get the email to make sure yours do not run out of stock. A few weeks after your samples arrive, you will get an email asking to review the products. The review is an exit survey that only has a few questions per product. Neither a blog post nor any social media promotion is required. I only write a post to share the service with you. There are no referrals for this service, so all links are direct.
It usually takes about a month from ordering to receive the shipping confirmation. The items usually arrive around the same time as the shipping confirmation. Their quote is 4-6 weeks, but it always seems like 4 or less.
One of the best things about receiving samples is they usually shower you with coupons to purchase any you love. This batch only had one.
The Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner is something I discovered thanks to Sample Source in the Fall 2015. I enjoy it and photographed it then to show how it makes my wood floors sparkle. Whenever I have a chance to get a free sample, I will take it. That is just less product I have to buy.
You spray this directly onto the floor. Even products that direct you to spray directly on the floor are usually best diluted, because they can look streaky and make the floor slippery. After cleaning the floors, I sprayed this on by itself to test it out. My floors are shiny without being slippery. There are no streaks. This does not have much of a smell either, so I do not even need to worry about it to blending well with the floor cleanser.
The Replens Moisture Restore External Comfort Gel is something I have not tried yet even though I’ve had it here for two months. I do not like trying things for the sake of trying them. Until I feel dry, I will not test this. There was a Vagisil wash that dried me out, so I like the idea of having this on hand in case something I try in the future does the same thing. Even though I do not have a problem with internal moisture either, I have tried the internal one from this brand. It works really well.
The Nature Box Body Wash coconut oil hydrated skin is amazing. It lathers well, rinses clean, and smells incredible. There is a slight coconut fragrance, but it is mostly just really fresh. Even though it has 100% cold pressed oil, I still apply a body moisturizer (as I do with all washes).
The Vega Plant Based Protein Snack Bar Blueberry Oat surprised me. My husband consumes a lot of protein bars, so I ordered this for him. You never know how many you will get until it arrives. When I saw there were three, I decided to eat one. It was so delicious that I could not resist eating a second. I do not like a lot of protein bars, but this is one my husband and I both enjoyed. Yes, I let him have the third one.
The exit survey usually arrives 2-3 weeks after the samples. It asks a few basic questions about each item and for permission to contact me by phone if they have any follow-up questions. This whole process takes between 5-10 minutes (or less when you only have one sample). My survey arrived the day after I published this article, so I took it. Samples ship once a quarter (except Winter), so anyone who signs up now will be eligible for Summer samples.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
