The Winter 2018/2019 Jumbo Love Event (the Liter Sale) starts on Christmas Day, December 25th. It has started on Christmas Day for years. What I did not expect was the link did not get updated until the clock struck midnight in the Central time zone. I refreshed from 11:59pm to 12am and everything was finally live. This event always ends on a Saturday and runs for at least four weeks (Ulta advertises this as 5 weeks, but the fifth week is never full). It runs from Tuesday, December 25th, 2018 through Saturday, January 26th, 2019. Expect it to repeat in July, because this is a semi-annual event.

With this twice a year event, you get the lowest prices of the season on jumbo sizes of shampoo and conditioner. Unlike the Gorgeous Hair Event, which starts in May and then again in October, this event does not have a daily steal format. Most deals are available from day one of the sale and stay available until inventory runs out or the event ends, whichever comes first. Because of this, the online link for the sale is not as advanced as it is for other events. It is usually easier to view the deals from a catalog.

You can purchase a pump for $1 ($3 value) with any jumbo purchase while supplies last. A pop up in the checkout screen will remind you to add it online. If the agent does not offer this deal in person, remember to ask for it.

Many professional haircare liters are on sale. Most liters have a set price for the event.

Some drugstore hair products are on sale during the event. These products go on sale many times throughout the year, so I will not devote much attention to them here.

The cheapest professional liters $12.99 Each. These items usually retail from $19.99-$37. Includes select items from: Matrix, American Crew, Tigi, Hempz, and Sexy Hair. *Hempz was added to this event.

There are liters for $15.99 Each. Includes select items from: abba, Redken, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Joico, Sebastian, and Kenra Professional, and Wella.*This was $14.99 in past events and is the only level to see a price increase. These usually retail for $22-$48. The Wella items were in the $12.99 group for the last event, and the abba products did not discount when the event went live.

There are liters for $19.99 Each. These usually retail for $29.50-$58. Includes select items from: Redken, AG Hair, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Sexy Hair, Fairy Tales, Kenra Professional, Macadamia Professional, abba, Frederick Benjamin, and Mizani. *Macadamia Professional, abba, and Frederick Benjamin were added to this event. The abba products did not discount when the event went live.

There are liters for $29.99 Each. These usually retail for $39-$65 Includes select items from: Nioxin, It’s a 10, Keratin Complex, Bosley, Curlsmith, Babo Botanicals, Neuma, Keracolor, and Paul Mitchell. *It’s a 10, Curlsmith, Neuma, and Keracolor were added to this event.

Other Discounts

Select hair tools are also on sale, but there are not a lot. The next Gorgeous Hair Event will repeat sometime in October, so you may want to hold off on purchasing a tool until then.

Pureology Jumbo sizes are 15% off. They usually retail for $66-$130.

Other Select Jumbo Sizes get 20% off. These include jumbos from: dpHue, Alterna, and Ouidad. These are regularly $50-$75.

Professional Haircare Styling and Finishing Mix and Match: Buy 2, Get 1 free. Valid 12/25/18-01/05/19. You can mix and match brands, but the free item must have equal or lower value than the first two.
