Rakuten In Store Cash Back – More Stores Added, Including Sephora

See all 2019 Sephora Promotions, Sales, GWP, Deals, Discount Codes, and Events.

For those who are not familiar with Rakuten, I have an article going over it and five other Pay-to-Shop programs I recommend. Those who are familiar with Rakuten but not In-store cash back, I have an article going over that as well. This article is just a reminder to use this amazing perk of being a Rakuten member. It is also an alert that more stores are participating (and are constantly added). The list of stores revolves, but there are usually at least 30. In-store cash back is an easy way to make money. As long as you remember to set up the offer (simply by entering or activating the card you plan to make the purchase with) before shopping, you should get cash back. It removes the linked offer from your account after a qualifying purchase so you will need to link it again if it is a store you shop at often. I’ve received my cash back on every in-store purchase I’ve qualified for, but you could always file an inquiry if you did not receive yours, just as you can for missing online transactions.

Sephora is back! It is at 4%. What is great about this is the online cash back (from Rakuten) is also at 4%. That means you’d get the same back whether shopping in store or online today (if you used Rakuten, because TopCashBack is 6%). One of the main reasons I prefer to shop online is because the deals are usually better. Of course, you lose the option to add a promo code to the order for shopping in store, but you’d also get the product right away, redeem Play! Points (if you are a subscriber), swatch items, and more. The offers vary and constantly rotate so it is impossible to say how long this offer will last. It usually lasts at least a couple of months. I have not seen an offer for Sephora since 2016. On the last offer, it was valid from August through September. If history repeats itself, this 4% cash back in store offer should last through June.

Sephora Play! was almost a year old during the last In-store cash back offer for Sephora. A day after activating the offer, I got an email that I made an in-store purchase and was getting a credit within 7 days. I logged in as quickly as I could, because I did not remember making a purchase at Sephora yesterday. It was my Play! box charge. If those get processed in-store, the credit makes sense. Since I did not receive cash back for my August or September of 2016 Play boxes, I think they changed the way they are processed since then. As long as this offer is active, and I remember to reactivate the offer each time, I should get credit for the purchase. That is awesome.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
