See my recent Walgreens Beauty Enthusiasts GWP Bag review.
Beauty Enthusiasts at Walgreens get a number of perks for being a member, including 5,000 balance reward points for every $50 spent on beauty and personal care items. They also get access to a lot of other deals, including occasional free GWP Bags. It is important to note that while the contents of these bags always varies, Walgreens does not update the photo attached to the offer. This leaves many upset that they are not getting all the items in the photo. A good rule of thumb is the lower the buy-in, the less you will receive in value. To take advantage of these offers, you will need a Beauty Enthusiasts account. It is free to join. This is separate from a regular Walgreens account, but it will link to your Walgreens account once you’ve signed up. The beauty of this offer is it will load automatically as long as you sign into your account. If you happen to shop during an event, you will get the offer whether you know about it or not. That is the main reason I suggest all Walgreens shopper join.
Through 03/24/18, Beauty Enthusiasts get a free GWP bag with a $20 Beauty or Personal Care Purchase. Yes, that $20 will go in the bank for your next 5,000 point reward as well. It loads automatically. This offer is also available in-store for those who’d rather shop in person. Since your Beauty Enthusiasts account ties directly to your Walgreens account, I am guessing you could even redeem this without a Beauty Enthusiasts account in-store, although I do think you should join online to get an alert for future offers even if you pick it up in store. Plus, the products you purchase in-store go toward your next point reward as well. Again, that is a stock photo Walgreens uses for all Beauty Enthusiast Bag offers. The items inside your bag will vary, and the lower the buy-in for the bag, the less you will get.
I was already planning on placing an order, because this is also my birth month. The birthday offer at Walgreens is 10x points. When I saw that the offer and shipping minimum work on the items I was already planning on purchasing, I was in.
The items come inside a Walgreens Beauty Enthusiast bag.
The deluxe items I received in my bag (which may vary from what others received) are: a 0.14oz Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy ($1.20), a 0.5oz La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel for Oily Sensitive Skin ($1.11), a 1.4oz Pantene foam Conditioner Sheer Volume ($1.40 – not sold at Walgreens so I used the same price for the one I received in the latest Target Beauty Box), a 1oz CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion ($1.69), a 0.85oz Colgate Optic White Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste ($0.97), and a full-size Isaac Mizrahi Loves Revlon Nail File ($4.32 – not sold at Walgreens so I used the Walmart price).
That makes the value of my GWP $10.69. For a $20 buy-in, that is not bad. When there is a higher buy-in, you will likely see more value in the gift with purchase. I do not place value on foils (as they should always be free), but I love receiving them. Some of them even have coupons on them. There was also a unique code for 20% off a purchase through 04/30/18 and some individual beauty product coupons. The foils I received were: a 0.02oz Olay Regenerist Whip, a 0.016oz Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel, a 0.25oz ogx fade-defying + orchid oil Shampoo, a 0.25oz ogx fade-defying + orchid oil Conditioner, single swatch testers for Almay Best Blend Forever Makeup, a 0.05oz Vichy Mineral 89 Skin Fortifying Daily Booster, a 0.03oz Revlon Colorstay Makeup in Caramel, and 1 0.1oz No7 Early Defence Glow Activating Serum.
Nature Made Women’s Multi-Vitamin is my favorite. I love the price, and it is one of the few multi-vitamins that come in gel form. Although I have no trouble swallowing pills, I get gag reflexes from the taste of vitamins. These gels have no taste so I am able to take them with no problem. The $1 off coupon combines with the buy one, get one free offer. That is not something you see a lot of retailers offer so I appreciate that Walgreens does. This coupon clips electronically from your account or right from the product page. It is valid through 04/07/18.
The Luvena Therapeutic Feminine Wash is my favorite. Walgreens is the only place I can get it (without getting gouged on the price) so I usually use something else until I place my next Walgreens order. Since I am already out of this and using something else, I am happy to order this.
I love the Soap & Glory scent. It is definitely a love it or hate it scent, because my ex hated it. The Soap & Glory Pink Big Gift has been in my cart since right after Christmas when it dipped from $40 to $20.
This was already a steal at $40 so seeing it for $20 on clearance and having it qualify for the Beauty Enthusiasts Bag made it a must for me. It has a full-size 16.9oz Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel, a full-size 6.7oz The Scrub Of Your Life Body Buffer, a 6.7oz The Righteous Butter Body Butter, a 1.69oz Hand Food Hydrating Cream, a 1.69oz Heel Genius Foot Cream, headband, and a shower puff.
Many of these items are things I already love or want to try (foot cream). I am not a huge fan of loofas like this, but I love the headband. It is so girly.
There are a lot of current offers. Make sure you clip online coupons from your account before you shop to take advantage of all of them. It gave me the standard points, my birthday points, and a March opt-in bonus. I have no idea how it chooses which offers to use and which to ignore. Stacking is obviously possible so I assume I got excluded (for some reason) from the offers it did not give me. Hopefully, customer service can help me understand why so I can explain it to you. This purchase did give me 4900 points, which is only 100 points away from a $5 reward.
You can combine a promo code with a clipped coupon or BOGO offers as long as you have some items in your cart that qualify for the promo. New customers can use code 15WELCOME for 15% off a $50 purchase as long as it is their first purchase. Anyone willing to wait until tomorrow can use code HAPPYSPRING for 20% off regularly priced items. That is valid from 03/24/18 through 03/31/18. I decided not to wait for that, because I would have only saved an extra $1.2o off the only full-priced item in my cart. That is not enough savings to justify waiting and having the bag possibly going out-of-stock. It also would have put me under the $35 free shipping minimum so I would have needed another item anyway.
Make sure you clip online coupons from your account before you shop to take advantage of all offers. These offers come in the form of point multipliers, money off, and more. Beauty shoppers of Walgreens should join Beauty Enthusiasts for access to the best deals, special GWP, and 5,000 Balance Rewards points with every $50 beauty or personal care purchase. While this account does sync up with the regular Walgreens account, you are not automatically enrolled when you create a new Walgreens account. Remember to check all Walgreens offers before shopping online. See all Walgreens articles. View my main page for the guide map to the site and deeper deal exploration.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
