Ulta has sent targeted dollar off coupons to select customers for as long as I can remember. Targeted codes are almost always unique, so they can only be used one time. The general codes, which are available almost all year, are multi-use. In 2017, I noticed the efforts really stepped up because I received a lot more than I had in the past. Every time I receive an offer in 2018, I will update this article. These are targeted offers, so others may receive offers I do not. My goal with this article is to track possible future offers and alert others to deals. Sometimes these coupons hide in emails, so you may have one of these and not even know it. If you did not receive the offer I received, just keep an eye out. You may get one in the future that I don’t get. I will be listing all dollar off coupons received in 2018 in reverse chronological order here. For the types of coupon available, scroll down. These are all unique codes unless otherwise specified. I will only list my unique code below if I decide I will not use it. In that case, it will only work for the first person who uses it. The targeted offer is not available to all UltaMate members. Smashbox is a brand I’ve purchased from Ulta. I am not using the coupon above so the first person who sees it can claim it.

The targeted offer is not available to all UltaMate members. It Brushes for Ulta is a brand I’ve purchased from Ulta. I am not using the coupon above so the first person who sees it can claim it.

-$5 off a $10 purchase. Sent 07/25/18. Expires 08/04/18. This is a drugstore coupon. It is unique so only the first person to claim it can use it.

-$10 off a $40 bareMinerals purchase. Sent 03/23/18. Expires 03/31/18. I have purchased bareMinerals from Ulta before. It is the second time this year I received a coupon like this from the brand.

-$5 off a $15 Ulta Beauty Collection Purchase. Valid 03/18/18 through 06/02/18. This is a general coupon so it will work as many times as you want to use it in-store or online using code 676311. I have never seen a general coupon for this specific offer before.

-$5 off a $10 purchase. Sent 03/06/18. Expires 03/11/18. It has the same exclusions as the 20% off prestige coupons, except it also excludes clearance and Morphe.

This is a unique coupon that went out to all accounts with valid emails on file. I am not using my coupon so the first person to claim it may have it.

My son received a letter with two coupons in it on 02/28/18.

The first is one I’ve seen many times. It is to receive a $30 Haircut & Style for new guests. There is no bar code on this so it is not unique. Ulta will probably even accept a screen shot, but I suggest printing these pictures out (if you have access to a printer).

It expires on 03/28/18. This coupon is recurring so it will pop up again if you happen upon this after the expiration date.

The second coupon is unique. It will only work once in store or online. This is a $10 off anything coupon. Other than gift cards and services, it really has no exclusions. Even the $50 minimum purchase was not real. I tested it with a $10 purchase online and successfully checked out with a $20 purchase in store. If the amount dipped below $10, the coupon stopped working. Thus, it is a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon. That makes it very similar to the $10 off coupon Platinum and Diamond members get for their birthday. Prior to 2018, I had never seen this coupon mailed randomly. I have never received one myself either.

This expires 03/10/18. As I mentioned above, it is unique, and I redeemed it. Hopefully, you get one of your own if you have not already.

-$20 off a $75 bareMinerals purchase. Sent 01/27/18. Expires 02/03/18. I have purchased bareMinerals from Ulta before (most recently this month, but I did not write an article).

The most common dollar off coupon Ulta sends is for specific brands. This is usually $5 off with a $20 brand purchase, $10 or $15 off with a $50 brand purchase, or $15 off with a $75 purchase. They are usually unique coupon codes, but there are times when they are general. When they are general, you can give the code to multiple friends. Targeted offers can only be used once, by you or someone you gift the code to.

I received $5 off a $20 NYX purchase on 07/23/17. It was valid through 07/29/17.

This $15 off a $75 Philosophy purchase came on 06/16/17. There was no expiration date listed in the email. It is a general code, so anyone could have used that.

This $15 off a $50 bareMinerals purchase came 11/12/17. It expired 11/25/17.

A new code that popped up last year was for $5 off a $10 purchase. The fine print on this one excludes some prestige brands but not all, so this works toward more brands than the general ones. It should work with any brand the 20% off prestige coupons. I received the one above on 02/09/17. It was valid through 02/14/17. This year, I received it today. I am not attaching the unique code because I may redeem it myself.

If it has been a while since you’ve shopped Ulta, you can expect to receive coupons for $15 off a $50 purchase. These coupons work toward anything a prestige coupon works on.

There was a time when I never received these, because I shop at Ulta too often. Then, I changed the email address on my account. Now, I receive these often at my old email address. My old email address no longer has an account tied to it, so while it makes no sense, I welcome the coupons. They work on any account so I am able to use them even though the email address they send them to is not tied to an account. My email address was not updated until January 2017, so it is possible there were more waves in 2017. I received these offers at my old account email address on 05/14/17, 06/04/17, 08/27/17, 10/12/17, and 12/08/17. They were valid through 05/20/17, 06/10/17, 09/02/17, 10/14/17, and 12/24/17 respectively.
