Ulta 2018 Birthday Gifts By Quarter

The 20% off prestige coupon is valid through the 24th. The Beauty Blitz runs through 12/25/18. The Jumbo Love Event, Liter Sale, should start on the 25th.

New birthday gifts are available every quarter at Ulta. Remember to check all birthday offers before your birthday arrives because many retailers have great offers. All Ulta birthday gifts have been announced for 2018. Should any offers change mid year, I will update this article. If you have not joined the UltaMate Rewards Program yet, join before your birthday, and make your first purchase to activate your birthday gift offer. It is not sent to new accounts with no purchase history.

Platinum and Diamond members receive a $10 coupon on the first day of their birth month (in addition to the standard gift), which is good toward anything other than the salon, Benefit Brow Bar, or gift card purchases. There is no purchase minimum for the coupon. This coupon is valid in store or online. It used to work once in store AND once online because the codes were different. That is no longer the case. If you have questions about any Ulta Coupon, I go over all types. You will not pay anything in-store if your purchase is $10 or less. There is a free shipping minimum (usually $50 but it does lower at times to $35 or even $25) for online purchases so only order online if you’re spending over it. Shopping in store is the only way to redeem the standard and Platinum gifts at the same time.

All members get 2x points on every purchase the entire month of their birth. This offer must be activated (a new stipulation for 2018). Yes, this offer combines with other multipliers. There is an advanced breakdown of how points multiply or a simple one on my Ulta Page. That also covers everything about the UltaMate program and shopping at Ulta. It is not as simple as adding them together, because base points, the 0.25x Platinum bonus, and the 0.50x Diamond bonus never multiply. The easiest way to look at this is you get a bonus point per dollar spent for your birthday because the first point is something you’d get anyway.

There is no purchase required to redeem the birthday gift, but it must be picked up in person. It cannot be added online so the product links below are to view what you will receive if you pick it up in person. Adding the item from the link will not deduct the cost. Ulta emails a coupon (required for redemption) on the first day of your birth month. It is valid through the end of the month. The coupon will list the gift you are eligible for. If your birthday falls on the cusp of another gift, it is up to staff members at the store whether they will allow a substitute. Many will require you to accept what your coupon offers if the item is in stock.

Ulta Birthday Gift 2018 Janaury February March

The coupon lists the membership code and a unique code that only works once. Employees must scan both to complete the transaction. If you give someone your coupon, it will prevent you from picking up the gift yourself. This is the only coupon I am aware of that ties directly to your account since employees must complete step 1 (scanning the member ID of the person who received the offer). Other unique codes sent to you still work when someone else scans their member ID card. You can have someone pick it up for you though. Read Everything You Need to Know about Ulta Coupons for more details.

If your birthday lands in the First Quarter (January, February, or March), your gift is a full-size Ulta Beauty Cranberry + Pomegranate Lip Oil and an Ulta Beauty Collection Cranberry + Pomegranate Lip Mask.

Ulta Birthday Gift 2018 Janaury February March 2

The lip oil retails for $9. I’ve never seen the lip mask sold individually, but this poster says the gift has a $12 value. That means this is worth $3. My birthday lands in the first quarter. I did redeem this gift in case anyone is looking for a review. Should you happen upon the review in time, it could help determine if going to the store to get the gift is worth it.

People who picked up their gift early in the First Quarter could select the Fourth Quarter Gift from 2017 if it was still available at their store. That was a 0.17oz It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara. Ulta sells it in this size for $12.

If your birthday lands in the Second Quarter (April, May, June), your gift is a 0.12oz NARS Orgasm Blush. Ulta does not sell the mini size, but it is 75% of the full-size making this worth $22.50. In a year where all the other quarters get $12 gifts, I’d say this quarter is the clear winner (assuming you are one of the few beauty lovers left who does not already own this blush).

If your birthday lands in the Third Quarter (July, August, September), your gift is a 0.17oz It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara. Ulta sells it in this size for $12. This was the Fourth Quarter gift from 2017 and some who were born at the beginning of the First Quarter were able to claim this in 2018.

If your birthday lands in the Fourth Quarter (October, November, December), your gift is a o.13oz Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara. Ulta sells it in this size for $12. This was the Second Quarter Gift from 2017 so multiple gifts are repeating.

Happy Birthday! Targeted Offers are exclusive to UltaMate Members so I do recommend joining. I will continue to post offers I am aware of so no worries if you happen upon this post after the offers above expire. Remember to check all Ulta offers before placing an online order because there are always general or brand specific offers that are not targeted. Deal stacking is not only allowed, it’s encouraged. I just went to an Indianapolis Ulta last Saturday to pick up my birthday freebie, redeem a $10 gift card and my $10 birthday reward that platinum members get, as well as use a $5 off of $10 coupon that Ulta had emailed me last week. I had THE RUDEST cashier who didn’t want to let me cash in on all the deals I had received FROM ULTA. Anyway I had all intentions of asking if there were any of the previous birthday gifts left over, but didn’t dare ask her, given her nasty attitude, and just took the lip oil and mask set. Last year (January), I was beyond thrilled that they let me get the Urban Decay eye shadow instead of the Porefessional primer…

I’ve had employees give me side eye when I show up with multiple coupons. They will usually tell me that they can only take one and I as politely as possible ask them to try all of them, because I’ve never had any problems before. Once they try them, they usually all work. I could not get that $5 off $10 to work on anything I was trying to purchase from the clearance section. Those coupons usually work on clearance, so I hope it is not a sign that coupons are getting modified this year. Fingers crossed. Happy belated birthday. Even though it was not your first choice, I hope you enjoy the mask and lip oil.

Ulta customer service just told me you have to make a purchase to get the free birthday gift. You say here that you don’t have to make a purchase to get it. I’m going to check out there website and if the site agrees with you, then I’ll try arguing with customer service. What a pain in the neck…. Not a way to win customers over.

If you receive the coupon, you can go into the store and get the gift without purchasing anything. That is what I mean by no purchase required to redeem the gift. At the top of the article, it says you must make your first purchase to activate the birthday offer. If you have a brand new account with no purchase history, you will not trigger a birthday offer. Someone said that for 2018 Ulta is now requiring your most recent purchase be within 90 days of your birthday. As I have only seen that claim once, I have not updated the article to reflect the new rules yet. It is not uncommon for customer service reps to state different things so I like to see a pattern before I believe it. Sometimes they tell me things I know aren’t true. I generally like to make sure a claim is true before I add it into the article. Rules are subject to change and Ulta has never been the best at notifying customers of its terms. That is part of the reason I break down what I’ve learned in so many different articles.

If it has been over 90 days since your last purchase, Ulta may not send the coupon. What Ulta will do if you contact customer service with proof of a recent purchase is email you a coupon (only guaranteed within 30 days of your birthday and at customer service discretion after that). This actually happened to someone I know well. He activated his account by getting something from the clearance section after his birthday passed without receiving the coupon. Then, he emailed customer service and the rep emailed him the birthday offer. Happy belated birthday.

I’m so pressed, why does the first quarter get a lip mask and lip oil from Ulta beauty while the rest get super luxury brand stuff?

I remember the year when Quarter One got an Ulta Beauty eyeshadow palette and the other quarters got name brands as well. While I agree that the first quarter seems to get the shaft most years, the first quarter gifts are the only items I do not already own. At least it gives me the chance to try something new. That said, I doubt the birthday flavor of lip oil is less sticky than the coconut one I already own. It is moisturizing but it is soooo sticky. I would have been happier to have something else and while I do love some Ulta branded items, I would like to see more equity in the gifts.

The ULTA in Bloomington Illinois made me spend $50 to get my birthday gift last year. They said they could not redeem the gift without a purchase, I had already spent $250 the previous week, and if I remember right, I didn’t get the actual gift. I got a cheap plastic beaded bracelet.

I’ve never heard of having to spend $50 for a cheap, plastic, beaded bracelet at Ulta. When Sephora does events, they sometimes have a minimum spend to receive whatever the GWP for the event was. It is possible you happened upon an event at Ulta where that was the minimum spend for the GWP. As I am unfamiliar with an event like that, it was probably exclusive to your store or select stores. If you want to see what you should have received for your birthday, this article lists all of the 2017 gifts by quarter. There was one quarter (the third) where the gift changed midway through. Other than these 5 gifts in the article, there were no other birthday gifts given. Of course, it is possible that Quarter 1 birthday recipients could have received the Quarter 4 gift from the previous year. Ulta does send targeted coupons for specific items, and while they do have a purchase requirement, there is generally no minimum. If that is what you received, a $1 item would have satisfied the purchase requirement the same as a $50 purchase. There is no purchase requirement to redeem the birthday gift though. As long as you receive the coupon, you can bring it into the store and pick it up without buying anything else. I’ve done it.

A customer service agent told me in January that the coupons are mailed on the first of the month this year. If that is true, you should be able to redeem it on the 7th. It has always been mailed on your actual birthday in years past so I am waiting to see when I get mine this year before I update the article. Customer service does not always give the proper information so I never update information on the word of a single person until I can 100% confirm. If your coupon does not arrive on March 1st, you can call or email customer service on the 2nd to see if they are willing to send it to you early. I know they have the ability to do that, but they usually only send “replacements” after the birthday passed, not before. Wouldn’t hurt to try though. Happy early birthday.

It comes via email. In 2017, it came on the actual birthday. My birthday has not passed in 2018 yet, but a customer service agent says it comes on the first of the month this year. There are only a few more days before I can confirm if that agent was right. I think she was wrong, but we will see.

You do not need the app to create an account. Register from a PC or using the regular full-site browser on your phone. It is a little harder to navigate the full site from a phone, but it is possible. As long as you enter your birthdate when you create the account and make your first purchase on the account before your birthday, you should trigger the offer. If you have proof of the purchase (which will be in your account history) as long as you are logged in for online purchases or provide information for the associate to pull up your account, you can contact customer service if your offer does not arrive on your birthday.

Really disappointed with the gifts this year. Since I’ve been a part of the Ulta rewards, I’ve always gotten full size products for my birthday. Now this year it’s samples. M eh.

The third quarter (this is the first day of the third quarter so I assume that is when your birthday falls) has historically had the best gifts. I’ve even joked that whoever was in charge of selecting the gifts must have a birthday in the third quarter. As a first quarter birthday celebrant, I’ve been disappointed in the gifts for years. In 2015 and 2018, we did get full-size gifts, but they were from the Ulta brand. The last time we got a full-size gift from a regular brand was the Calvin Klein mascara in 2014. That is also the last year where every quarter got the same gift. Happy Birthday!

I would contact Ulta customer service via phone or email and ask what they can do for you. You should have received your coupon via email on September 1st for redemption by September 30th. Sometimes, the coupons filter into the spam or junk folders, but even if you found it at this point, it would be expired. The employees who work at Ulta (I do not work there) will typically not give you a gift without the coupon. Happy belated birthday.
