Twenty-one days is a long time, because the 21 Days of Beauty at Ulta are still running through this Saturday. Read tips for the sale. There are two events happening today that I am partaking in. The first is a steal in today’s event. I’ve tried two of the three It Cosmetics For Ulta Brushes I purchased during the recent 10x points event. I loved both, so I really want to try the $15 brush that usually retails for $30. Jane Park, the Julep Founder, will have a Live Chat from 10am-11am PST this morning. Julep polishes represent well over half of my 400 polishes, and I have a healthy stash of other beauty products from the brand. They’re my favorite, and I find Jane charming and endearing. She was incredibly kind and wonderful at her recent Maven Meet-Up, and I really appreciate that she took the time to “take me to the airport.”
While she will not likely be able to give the one-on-one attention she gives at the Maven meet-ups during the Live Chat, I am sure it will be a great chat. I have plans to read some questions and responses, and I may even ask a question if I can think of one. Since I chatted with her personally three weeks ago, I cannot think of anything else to ask.
Ulta is on Central time, so the new steals went up at 10pm PST (as they always do). The steals from the day before did not drop off at 9:59pm as they usually do, so I could have ordered steals from two days at once if I wanted to. I actually did that on the last order. It is always possible new GWP offers or Beauty Breaks will release in the morning, but waiting for them is always a risk. These Urban Decay blushes (especially in the less wild shades) should sell out early.
As I already mentioned, I ordered the It Brushes for Ulta Love Beauty Fully Buffing Mineral Powder Brush #206. It usually retails for $30, but the steal for today makes it $15.
This is not as big as I pictured, but it is soft and fluffy. Once I use this, I will edit in a review.
Years ago, my husband told me he wanted to try this new product called Poo~Pourri Before You Go Toilet Spray. He showed me the commercial, and I laughed. It looked like a spoof, so I originally thought it was a skit for SNL or a similar show. Back then, it was only available for purchase through an 800 number with exorbitant shipping fees. As much as he wanted to try it, I could not bring myself to purchase it. Many years later, my son told me his favorite Youtuber mentioned this product. Said Youtuber sells a lot of products to my son, including multiple trips to Legoland with stays at the Legoland Hotel. Before this purchase, we had never tried it. It is $9.99 for 2oz, but it really works. I’d say the success rate is almost 100%, and we think it is worth the price. We will probably experiment with the different scents until we find the one we like best. The original scent has a great lemony fresh aroma.
I wish I could purchase Sally Hansen manicure sticks, because I love the ones I received in a set. Thanks to a project I have not written about yet, I am down to one Sally Hansen stick. That one will be gone when I complete the project. Sadly, I cannot find a way to purchase them individually. These Tweezerman Manicure/Pedicure Sticks will be new to me, but I’ve loved every Tweezerman product I’ve tried so far. The brand does eyebrow and manicure products extremely well. There was a cheaper brand, but I opted for these since they look thicker. As soon as I try them, I will report back on whether they’re worth $4.99 for little wooden sticks!
It’s been a long time coming, but I finally decided I want to learn how to apply false eyelashes. The only time I tried was a complete disaster. They took a long time to apply to touch up my liquid liner (another thing I am terrible at), and one fell half off before the party was over. I was looking into elf setting powder before I decided to get Laura Mercier at the recent Sephora Rouge event instead. While looking for that powder, I remember seeing lashes for $2. Even if I hate them, that is a great price to practice applying them. The e.l.f Cosmetics Natural Lash Kit is something I meant to pick up on my last order and forgot. No way I was ordering them without a steal, so I could get free shipping. Once I try these, I will report back on how it goes. Of course, I will add pictures of me wearing them as well. Wish me luck.
