Beauty Insider Appreciation Week runs from September 10th through September 17th. During the event, Beauty Insiders get 2x points, VIB members get 3x points, and Rouge members get 4x points. This event usually takes place in August, but Sephora pushed it back this year to iron out the details of the Rewards Bazaar. Hopefully, nice items enter the Rewards Bazaar, so the point multipliers for this event get put to great use. It officially kicked off this morning with a private VIB Rouge Event, which I wrote about separately. Sephora always offers a VIB Appreciation Bag for VIB and Rouge clients during the event. There are two options this year, but they share a one time use code. Members can choose the one they prefer (if they arrive before one runs out of stock). These are the same bags handed out at the VIB Rouge event this morning, so it is possible Rouge members who attended the event can get both bags.

The picture above includes items from both bags. A single bag is not that full. I received Sample Bag 1 at the Rouge event and shared its contents in that article. This article will go over the items in sample bag 2, which I ordered using code MYSURPRISE. That code is only available for VIB and Rouge members with a $35 online purchase, but there is a sample bag available to Beauty Insiders in November.

Holiday items that were available during the private Rouge event are online in Rouge only section. They were taken down the day after the June event, but they are still online the next day following this event. Pre-Release items get pulled from the shelves after the Rouge event ends (and not returned until their official launch date), so they could only be purchased online from a Rouge account. A few days after the 10th, they were available to everyone.

I finally decided to purchase the Sephora Favorites Chic It Easy set, because I adore the YSL Touche Eclat. That item is full-size and retails for $42 by itself. Getting everything else for $7 seems like an incredible deal. This $49 purchase gave me 196 points.

I selected Flash through USPS Ground on this order I placed on the 10th. OnTrac delivers my packages without ringing my doorbell, so I thought switching to USPS would be a little safer. Safer or not, a 10 day-delivery is not “flash” shipping. Ulta has even gotten deliveries to me faster this year. Unless I absolutely have to, I will never select Flash USPS ground shipping again.

The samples I selected with this order were: a 0.03oz Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, a 0.04oz Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris, and a 0.033oz Algenist SUBLIME Optical Illuminating Moisturizer. My Yves Saint Laurent sample was substituted with a 0.04oz Balenciaga Skin Eau de Parfum. That is a scent I did not already own, so I am happy to try this.
