Sephora TROPICAL
Sephora is getting into the Olympic spirit with its current promotion. It picked five samples for its Summertime Shake-Up it considers as good as gold. The first two did not make the medal round, because only three of the five samples were still available by the time I received the email. Thankfully, the missing two were the Coola and the Atelier, both of which I already own. I guess only three can get medals anyway. By the time I received my order, the tarte was out-of-stock, so I guess it gets the gold. I have a feeling the item I selected will get the bronze, which works out perfectly for a bronzy summer. Use code TROPICAL to redeem one of the two remaining samples: a 0.6oz Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream or a 0.15oz Culture Scent and Shine Coconut Oil with a $25 purchase.
Every Sephora order over $25 qualifies for a promo code. These promo codes usually give a free deluxe sample. At times, they offer a free foil or full-size item. On certain occasions, a promo code gives multiple items or a discount. A single foil is obviously the lowest thing you will ever redeem a promo code on. I normally would not waste my order with a foil when I could get a deluxe sample, but I’ve wanted to try Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream for a while. This 0.6oz sample is not resealable, but I doubt it will last a long time if I use it after every shower. After the first use, I will seal it in a Ziploc to prolong its life in the foil. Although I would have liked to redeem the tarte lipstick and the Madam C.J. Walker oil, TROPICAL is a one-time use code.
I received the three samples I selected. They are all items I have not used and really want to try. My samples are: a 0.03oz Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator CC Primer SF 35 in Apricot, a 0.03oz Hourglass Immaculate® Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free in Shell, and 0.02oz samples of Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick Lipstick in N41 Corail A Porter, N45 Rouge Tuxedo, and N49 Rose Saint Germain.
I already have a few all over powder brushes, but I’ve been so lazy with my brush washing lately. The funny thing is I was planning on washing brushes, because this is the only brush in my routine where I did not have a clean one. This Sephora Collection Pro Allover Powder Brush #61 arrived at a great time. Now, I do not have to wash my brushes until after my next makeup application (probably on Thursday). The bristles are so soft even though it is dense. I love that it comes with a lid (like most brushes in the Sephora Pro Collection).
It works extremely well for applying all over face powder. The bristles feel very soft, and I have not had any fall out (so far). I get an even application and am impressed with how many areas of my face this covers, given the size. I love the way it feels in my hand, because the handle is large and smooth. Getting a good grip on the brush is easy. With the exception of my eye area, I can twist this perfectly everywhere else. The brush retails for $46, so it is a steal on sale for $25.
Sephora does not inform a single Beauty Insider of all deal details. Certain offers are targeted and others have different purchase minimums based on the code. Remember to check New Offers and/or Recycled Offers before placing an online order. If you’re spending over $25, you can add a promo code to any order. See all Sephora articles. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
