Birchbox Man gives at least four grooming samples a month for $20. The price is double the Woman’s Box, because of the added lifestyle item, which usually retails for over $20 by itself. As long as the lifestyle item is something you’d want, you should always get your investment back. You will get an email reminding you to select your lifestyle item. Respond as soon as you can, because the more desirable lifestyle items can go out-of-stock. All grooming samples are chosen based on the answers to your online profile questions. My husband decided to cancel his box after he reviews these items for the last 50 review points (which every account gets once). If you’re thinking of canceling, make sure you review your items before you cancel or you will lose the opportunity to review. He finally decided to help me use items in my stash that he does not consider too girly. We have a lot of work to do!
The theme for this month is The Great Outdoors. It arrived in the standard boring brown box.
The first thing you notice when you open a box is a card going over the box theme.
It directs you to the website for a list of samples.
This list on your dashboard tells you what you received, how much it would cost to purchase the full size, and refers you to the product page if you want more information on it.
The sample choice was between: a Taylor Stitch Chambray Baseball Cap ($35), an Eastern Collective Lightning Cable ($25.95), and Trndlabs Coal Organic Earbuds ($19). There was no featured box this month.
His sample choice was the Eastern Collective Lightning Cable. It retails for $25.95. Our family breaks and loses chargers faster than we should, so we can always use more cords. He likes that this one is long and already said no one is taking it from him. No worries. We will take one of his boring white ones.
The 0.34oz Supergoop!® Everyday SPF 50 with Cellular Response Technology is worth $2.69. I use the smallest size to calculate value, because it has the cheapest buy-in. He rarely wears sunscreen, but he insists he will use all of this one.
The 1oz Baxter of California Invigorating Body Wash is worth $1.80. He goes back and forth with liquid and bar soaps, so I am sure he will try this.
The 1oz Anthony Glycolic Facial Cleanser is worth $3.50. This is a product I believe he enjoys, because he’s purchased it more than once.
The 0.33oz Boka Toothpaste is worth $0.66. He loves trying toothpaste you cannot easily find at the drugstore, so I think he will enjoy trying this.
The box has a $34.60 value. His personal value is also $34.60, because he will try everything in the box. This was a successful box, because he loves the charger. It is worth more than he paid for the box. I always forget how much cheaper men’s items are than women’s until I value these samples for him each month. Maybe, he should not sample my items after all! If you want to subscribe, remember to look at start-up offers and all available offers. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
