When you purchase a Target Beauty Box, you get a coupon for $3 off a $15 beauty purchase. They usually expire within a month of receiving the box. I went to Target last night to redeem my unused one from the June 2016 Beauty Boxes only to discover I messed up the expiration date. That one actually expired on the 9th, instead of the 13th, like I thought. My confusion probably stemmed from receiving the July 2016 Beauty Boxes having coupons that expire on the 13th (of August). This is a reminder to look at them and make sure you know when they actually expire. Thankfully, I used one of the June coupons online for the July Boxes, so I only wasted one. I had the July box coupons on me, so I used one last night and still have another month to use the other one. There are not many exclusions other than beauty items purchased from the baby or personal care departments. Target releases most of the Beauty Boxes on the first Monday of the month, so the next one will be right around the corner.
My husband has experienced unusually dry skin this summer. This is something he normally experiences in winter. He wants to try as many products as possible, so we’re experimenting. I love that he is open to trying new things, because he usually is not open to new experiences and surprised me when he subscribed to Birchbox Man last summer. He decided to get a 12oz Skinfix Daily Lotion, which retails for $14.99. We have never tried this before, so it is a gamble. That meant we were a penny shy of redeeming the coupon. After searching aimlessly for at least 10 minutes, he suggested I get the 1.5oz eos Hand Lotion in Berry Blossom for $1.99. The lip balms from this brand have not impressed me, so I do not have high hopes for this lotion. At that point, we were both all shopped out, so getting this made sense.
His lotion had a 1oz Ultra Rich Hand Cream freebie attached. It is not sold in this size, but the 3oz size retails for $9.99. That makes the $3 value printed on the packaging on the low side. Most products get less expensive per ounce as sizes get bigger, but there are some products that sell cheaper per ounce travel sizes. I used this for the first time last night and thought it was great. It is a very rich cream that easily lasts from one wash to the next. This was actually inside the $5 Clean Care Box by Cottonelle, which released and sold out quickly yesterday. I sat on this for about an hour, which was all it needed to sell out. If it returns or another variation of it returns, I will act faster.
Nature Made Vitamins are 10% off on Cartwheel through 07/16/16. My kids loved the free Nature Made Kid’s First Multi Gummy vitamins Target sent us, so I decided to buy them. Target is even offering a free $5 gift card with a $25 health purchase through 07/16/16. It was the perfect time to buy them. Sadly, I messed up and bought the Nature Made Kid’s First Fiber Gummy instead. The Cartwheel offer is not loading online. Despite reading multiple articles stating Cartwheel offers became available to online orders on 07/23/14, a rep via online chat told me that it is not the case. He mentioned there is no place to scan the bar code, which reminds me to confirm that the $3 off $15 coupons probably work once online and once in person. Now, I have to decide whether I want to place an online order and miss out on 10% off or make another trip to the store before the 16th. I want to know about the coupons, so I may do both.
Drugstore pricing has a lot of variation. Pricing differences are more common from store to store than within Target stores, but it exists across all levels. In store pricing is usually more expensive than online pricing. These items were the same price online, and yes, I usually check when I get back home. I like to know if something I regularly purchase in store is cheaper online.
The clearance section is always worth checking out, but I did not find anything good this time. There is also an online clearance section. If you’re considering an online purchase to redeem your coupon, remember to check all offers before placing an order. See all Target articles. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
