If you have to buy it, get the best deal!
Amazon hosts an annual event for Prime members, Prime Day. The July 12, 2016 event will be the largest event ever. Even though it’s advertised as a one-day event, there are always Prime Day Countdown Deals leading into the event and excellent deals after the event wraps. There are 313 Prime Early Access Deals and more coming as those expire. Deals during the event are the real star though. Expect incredible promotions, deals, discounts, and steals on every type of product you can think of. Better deals will sell out quickly, and new deals come all day long. All deals have expiration times, and most will not run throughout the entire day. In other words, come early and often. The deals will change all day long. If you check the site less than a dozen times throughout different times in the day, you’re missing some of the best offers.
Prime is a membership program that retails for $99 a year. In addition to special events, like Prime Day, prime members have benefits they can get access to everyday. The most impressive benefit of a Prime membership is free two-day shipping on all Prime eligible products purchased through Amazon. There is no shipping minimum or limit to how many times you can use this feature while you’re an active member. This membership also includes instant access to thousands of movies and TV shows including: Amazon Original Series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, and the critically acclaimed drama Bosch. It includes Prime Music, which offers unlimited, ad-free access to over a million songs and thousands of playlists and stations. Members get access to up to 800,00 ebooks where they can check out books for free from Kindle Owner’s Lending Library. Through Amazon drive members get free, unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos. Deal savvy members can take advantage of the 30-minute early access to select Amazon Lightning Deals. Parents can get 20% off diaper subscriptions and a 15% Baby Registry completion discount.
Amazon has one of the most advanced online accounts I’ve ever seen. It tracks multiple lists: from shopping and wish lists, which many sites have, to registries, birthdays, gifts, and more. All of the benefits you choose to take advantage of are easily accessible right from your profile. If you’re a member and have not already explored the possibilities, play around in your profile. There is so much to do and even more to track. They use past purchases, historical product searches, reviews, and more profile tracking to recommend products you may actually want to try. As a deal seeker, I appreciate when the deals find me! I am happy with Prime membership and know that my husband uses many of the features I do not. When it comes to the shopping benefits, I have that covered.
