Every month, I review my Empty Products. Some products are not worth thinking about once the month is over. Others are wonderful and seem like they’re made for me. Those are FabuFinds, and I generally devote a little more time to discussing them. They are items I have repurchased and will continue to repurchase even at full price if I could not find a good promo code. Items I love but cannot finish make it into Deal Discoveries.
To eventually spotlight all of my FabuFinds, I will never repeat items already mentioned in a past article. That does not mean they lost their magic. It is also possible an item not spotlighted in a past Empties article may get promoted as I try it more and fall deeper in love. Other times, it is because I had a lot of FabuFinds in a previous month and decided to condense the article. There are two products I consider FabuFinds in my June Empties that I have not discussed yet.
I’ve used a lot of hair ties over the years, but my favorite ones are the Sephora Collection Hair Ties. I love everything about these hair ties when they’re new. They fit beautifully on my wrist without sucking the life out of it or falling off. Whether on my hair or my wrist, I like that they look somewhat fashionable. It does not look like I am wearing a boring hair tie. A new one wraps around my hair perfectly. In 3 twists, it keeps everything in pace without being too tight or too loose. As time wears on, these stretch out and get to this awkward phase where I cannot wear them on my wrist or my hair. Thankfully, they are cheap (especially since I always wait for a sale to stock up), so it does not cost much to replace them. Most last at least 6 months or so (longer if used less often).
I usually purchase these when they go one sale for $8 a 5 pack. That gives me the bargain price of $0.625 each, and they go one sale for this price multiple times during the year. If I need a small amount to get me over a promo minimum, I’ve also added a single for $1 to $1.50 each. Over the years, I’ve accumulated a lot. There were only two times in a short period where I was lucky enough to get a set for $3 for 8. They’re still a good deal at the full $11 price. If you want a great deal, wait for them to hit the sale section for $5 a set.
My favorite primer when I travel is the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer. It works almost as well as my favorite primer, but unlike my favorite, it is easy to get samples. Any time I see samples of this available, I order them. The mineral-based, water-resistant primer minimizes shine and creates a smooth canvas for flawless makeup application. My skin feels silky smooth as it feels everything in. Makeup stays on all day (even in summer when I add a setting spray). If this was not so expensive or I could get it on sale, I’d purchase this.
