Target July 2016 Beauty Boxes Simply Radiant and Fresh & Fabulous
These boxes are back in stock. Target releases seasonal beauty boxes. These are not subscription boxes and always sell out the day they release, usually in the first few hours. A new box released today and is still available. Shipping is always free, and the box contents announce as soon as the box goes on sale. Most items are sample sized, but there is almost always a full-size item or two inside. Value is usually at least triple the cost. The only variation in box content is on color items. Unless the color is specifically stated in the description, colors will vary. Boxes usually range in price from $5 to $10. The Simply Radiant and Fresh & Fabulous Boxes are $7 each.
The Simply Radiant Target Beauty Box retails for $7. It has an estimated value of $30. With 7 items in this box, each item cost $1. I prefer to see everything live up to that value on its own, but there are always a few that exceed it to make up for the occasional item that does not cover its weight.
The first thing you will always notice when you open a Target Beauty Box is a product card. It goes over all the items in the box and gives a brief description.
There is a $3 off a $15 beauty purchase coupon attached to the product card. These are unique coupons that work once online AND once in store, because the online promo code is different from the bar code. They usually expire within a month of receiving the box. This one expires 08/13/16. It works on all beauty purchases, even body lotions and hand creams. I do not factor coupons into box values, because they’re only valuable when you redeem them.
The back of the card goes over the general theme for the box. This one discusses must haves and can’t live withouts.
The 1.7oz L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Color Vibrancy Nourishing Shampoo is worth $0.54. It is not listed online, but I am certain they sell this size in store for $1.47. I am using online prices for valuation though. This mini bottle came free with my purchase of a different product from the same brand, but I have not tried it yet.
The 1.7oz L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Color Vibrancy Nourishing Conditioner is worth $0.54. It is not listed online, but I am certain they sell this size in store for $1.47. I am using online prices for valuation though.
The 8.5oz Dessange Paris Purifying Clay Balancing Shampoo is full-size. It retails for $9.99. I’ve loved all the Dessange products I’ve tried so far. This product works with an $11.99 pre-shampoo clay mask from the same brand that was not included (even in sample form). While it probably cleanses without the mask, there is a good chance I will buy the mask. That is probably what Dessange wants me to do.
The 0.27oz Wet n Wild Max Fanatic Mascara is full-size. It retails for $4.99. I will probably not keep this, because I have a lot of mascara and too many I really want to try. Full-size items are wonderful to gift in Beauty Boxes I put together as gifts for friends and family.
The 0.14oz Derma E Firming DMAE Eye Lift with Instalift and Advanced Peptides is worth $4.76. It is made with antioxidants, peptides, and DMAE and claims to firm skin, smooth crow’s feet, and boost collagens.
The 1oz Acure Organics Facial Cleansing Gel is worth $2.50. This is for combo to oily skin, so I will only use this in my T-Zone if I choose to keep it. My face is mostly dry.
The 0.25oz Aquaphor Healing Ointment is worth $0.71. This is an item I already know and love. It is extremely greasy and takes a long time to absorb into the skin. Every member of my family has very dry patches of skin, so this will come in handy.
As with all drugstore products, price variation is huge depending on where you shop. For this box, I used Target prices on all items. This box has a $24.03 value, which is lower than the $30 Target estimate. My personal value is $19.04, because I will not keep the mascara. Some of the difference probably comes from the minis they sell in store in the smaller, more expensive per ounce size and Target must include the coupons in the box value. I am happy with this box (even though I am missing $5.97 in advertised value) and feel I will easily get my money’s worth. Most of the Target boxes are worth it to me, but I love that they are not subscriptions. If a box does not seem worth it, I skip.
The Fresh & Fabulous Target Beauty Box retails for $7. It has an estimated value of $30. With 7 items in this box, each item cost $1. I prefer to see everything live up to that value on its own, but there are always a few that exceed it to make up for the occasional item that does not cover its weight.

The 1oz Tom’s of Maine Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste Peppermint is worth $0.85 (if the unlisted size on Target.com is the same 4.7oz others sell). This is an all-natural toothpaste that whitens teeth while fighting tartar and plaque and has a fresh peppermint taste. It is fluoride free, so I will probably not use it. My teeth are too sensitive for fluoride free toothpaste.
The 1oz Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo is worth $0.59. I’m looking forward to trying this, because it claims to replenish hair’s structure inside and out to eliminate signs of damage and strengthen against future breakage. If it works, that would be incredible.
The 1oz Dove Regenerative Nourishment Conditioner is worth $0.59. This promises the same benefits as the shampoo.
The 1oz Garnier Clearly Brighter SPF Moisturizer is worth $6.This antioxidant-rich formula promises to moisturize and tone for radiant, smooth skin that’s visibly brighter in just 1 week.
There are 3 single use SweetSpot On-the-Go Pipettes worth $1. The company makes three different scents, and the box includes one of each. They are Neroli Mandarin, Grapefruit Verbena, and Vanilla Blossom. These are not products I usually use, because my OBGYN thinks less is more for this sensitive are. I will give these a try, since they are pH-balanced, but I seriously doubt I would consider purchasing them.
The 0.16oz Umberto Beverly Hills Lifting Powder is full-size. It retails for $11.99. My container felt empty, so I had to open it. There actually is product inside, but there is no way it fills the container meaning they could have made it much smaller. This is a very silky, almost moist powder. I have fine hair, so I hope this really adds height, lifts and texturizes.
The 0.16oz NYX Butter Lipstick in Moonlit Night is full-size. It retails for $5.99. This deep wine is lovely. This melted a little in the heat, but it is mainly in tact.
I love almost everything about this lipstick. The color is a deep wine, which I love. It is not patchy, does not accentuate lip lines, nor does it highlight dry patches. This formula is very moisturizing and does not move around too much. As it fades, it does fade unevenly, and it feathers. In my rush to get dressed, I never applied lip liner, which could help with both flaws. While I was out all day, I had to reapply this twice. At this price, that is not so bad at all.
As with all drugstore products, price variation is huge depending on where you shop. For this box, I used Target prices on all items. This box has a $16.17 value, which is a lot lower than the $26 Target estimate. The difference in advertised value is probably in the foil (which is missing anyway) and Target must include the coupons in the box value. I am happy with this box (even though I am missing $9.83 in advertised value) and feel I will easily get my money’s worth. Most of the Target boxes are worth it to me, but I love that they are not subscriptions. If a box does not seem worth it, I skip.
If you have any $3 off a $15 Beauty Purchase coupons from the 05/30/16 boxes, you can apply one to this order. The boxes ship free, but Target will charge you shipping on any products outside the box(es) unless you go over the $25 shipping minimum. This means the $8 shipping charge for the boxes waived, but a $4 shipping charge for the HASK mask remained until I added enough items to go over the $25 shipping minimum. Target calculates the minimum based on the subtotal, so your total after the coupon applies must reach $22.
To get over the $15 coupon minimum, I added a 1.75oz HASK® Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner Packet. I will try it, but I only ordered because it was the cheapest thing in the sale section that shipped. By adding this, I was able to get it for free, and $1.23 off my beauty boxes. Both of the 0.3oz Blink Eye Drops for Contact Lenses are for my husband. They got me over the shipping minimum.
The items outside the boxes arrived 5 days after the order, which was perfect timing for the eye drops. My husband lost his last bottle. I have not tried the hair mask yet, but I do not like the packaging. Even though my coupon covered the cost, the brand charges $1.77 for this. This is a regular foil. Since there was a charge, I assumed it would at least be resealable. It’s not. There is way too much in here for a single use and while I do not mind placing a free sample foil in a Ziploc, I cannot believe an item I paid for needs one. Some of you may know that I do not place value on foils, but I guess I have to on this one.
Remember to check all Target offers before placing an online order, but these boxes always sell out fast. You get free shipping when you order this, so it is perfect timing to add an extra item you may need. Look as quickly as possible. Boxes release almost every month and although the exact release dates vary, the first Monday of each month is the most common release. If you want to make sure you get the next box, subscribe to Target emails and look at them when they hit your inbox. Of course, I will always alert you on the front page when they come back in stock as well.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
