Target is offering a $5 gift card with a $20 beauty purchase through 05/07/16. The gift card will automatically load into your cart with an online purchase. It ships separately after your items ship or after you pick them up (if you choose the ship to store option). Online shipping is free with a $25 purchase minimum. In store, text BEAUTY to Target (827438) to receive the bar code the cashier needs to scan. This discount applies to hair care, cosmetics, soap, body wash, skin care, sun care, shave care, deodorant, fragrance, and oral care, so hitting the minimum is easy. I went shopping with my husband and noticed the items we were getting were over $40, so he paid for some and I paid for others. We each got a $5 gift card. I like to give these gift cards to my sons’ teachers to help them with all the extra supplies they buy throughout the year.
There is usually fluctuation in price on drugstore items, so I was happy to see all the items we purchased are the same price online. Items in store are usually more expensive than online pricing and vary from store to store. I purchased the 20oz Gold Bond Healing Aloe for $10.89, the 12oz Attitude little ones Shampoo for $7.99, and three face masks. I already know and love the Gold Bond lotion, and my boys love the Attitude shampoo. The Que Bella Professional Sheet Masques are buy two, get one free, so I bought them for the first time to try them out. They were $2.49 each, so I paid $4.98 for all three. My selections were: Revitalizing Overnight Face Mask, Invigorating Oxygen Spa, and Illuminating Citrus Surge.
The masks were impulse buys, because I’ve seen them there before and have been curious. Seeing the free mask made them worth a shot for me. I could have used the soap from my husband’s items to push me over the $20 minimum, because he did not need it. If these perform as badly as the Citrus one reviewed, I may regret the decision to get them. Once I try them, I will come back and report whether the gamble paid off.
My husband purchased my Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle Razor for $13.99, the 21oz Dial Moisturizing Spring Body Wash for $3.99 (regularly $4.89), and his 1.6oz Mitchum Clinical Men 48Hr Protection Soft Solid for $7.69. The online listing claims the wash is 24oz, but it has a 21oz product pictured. Although the deodorant is in the women’s section, it pictures the proper men’s product. The razor and body wash are repurchases of items I already know and love. This is my husband’s first time buying clinical strength deodorant, but he already knows and loves the Mitchum brand in general.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
