Ulta Gorgeous Hair Spring 2016 Event May 8th through 28th

The Fall 2016 Event

Ulta has a new name for the Love Your Hair Event. They apparently changed the name before the October 2015 event, but I never got the memo. The Gorgeous Hair Event runs from May 8th through May 28th, 2016. The event dedicated to hair products includes every type of product imaginable from shampoo to styling and more. Twice a year, usually starting in May and October, Ulta has a 21-day sale where select brands or items are deeply discounted for one day only. This event also has specials that run throughout the event. The deals come from the upcoming catalog (which I will post once I receive it), and the special event page (which has been updated).

-Platinum members will get free shipping with any beauty steal(s) over $10.

-Of all the steals being offered, I highly recommend trying the Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Masque. This is a FabuFind of mine, and I would definitely partake if I did not just buy a new extra large one. I’ve always wanted to try the Carol’s Daughter Monoi Repairing Mask, because I’ve enjoyed the Monoi items I’ve tried from her line. If I buy anything (thinking of sitting out, because I still have so much from my purchases last spring on 05/16/15 and 05/22/15) during this event, that is the most likely item.

Event Long Steals

*More events will pop up, including liter sales, and I will edit this when I see them.

There will usually be at least one Platinum only steal. This is not announced in advance and will be emailed out the day of. Although I will add it to this post once I receive the email, it is a good idea to make sure you’re signed up for emails (especially if you’re a Platinum member).

I highly recommend studying the online brochure (which I will attach above), because it lists all products (including items added after the catalog printed and items that are available online only). UltaMate members should also get a physical copy in the mail (that includes items for sale in-store and online). It is a good idea to plan your purchases ahead of time, so you are ready to strike the moment the deal releases. Ulta runs on Central time, so daily steals are available right at 10pm PST. That usually means steals from the previous day disappear right at 10pm PST. If you’re up past 10pm PST, that is the best time to order (unless you’re waiting to see if a Beauty Break or new gift releases in the morning). While the deals have run a little over, Ulta usually cut them off right on time. The best deals are usually gone when you wake up in the morning from people who started shopping right as the day switched over, so plan strategically. Waiting for the Beauty Break announcement with the more popular steals may backfire.

Rules for the sale. Ulta says each person can only purchase two of each steal. Placing multiple online orders (if the system prevents you from adding more than 2 of one item in a single order) or picking up in person usually gets around the limit. Although I’ve only ever received two at a time, I’ve seen people purchasing more than two in store. Some stores may hold customers to the limit, but my store clearly does not. The most important rule is steals are 24 hours only and while supplies last. If they sell out in 10 minutes, that is it. You will not get a rain check and can only hope the deal you missed will repeat in the next event. Many deals repeat but plenty do not.

I will continue to post offers I am aware of, so no worries if you happen upon this post after the offers above expire. If you have questions about any Ulta Coupon, I go over all types. Targeted Offers are exclusive to UltaMate Members, so I do recommend joining. New members get $10 of their first purchase with a referral. Remember to check all Ulta offers before placing an online order, because there are always general or brand specific offers that are not targeted. Deal stacking is not only allowed, it’s encouraged. See all Ulta articles. Read Tips For Getting the Best Deal at Ulta. View my main page for the guide map to the site and deeper deal exploration.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
