Influenster gives free trial products of everything from beauty products to household items. To qualify for programs, you fill out quick product surveys. Once you’ve qualified, they mail the products. Try them and tell people what you think in person and on social media. Complete a short exit survey and review the product(s) on Influenster. The more active you are the more programs you qualify for. Everything received from Influenster is free, so they never collect payments for products. If you are unfamiliar with Influenster, you can read my overview.
This is the first time Influenster selected me for a product without filling out a survey first. They’ve selected me for shampoo and conditioner in the past, so it is possible my answers were already in their system. I received an email letting me know I was in.
There were a few product options for sampling. This card details the items.
I received full-sizes of Pantene Pro V Expert Intense Repair Shampoo (9.6oz for $4.79) and Conditioner (8oz for $4.79). It used to bother me when shampoos came in larger sizes than conditioner. Since I started using less conditioner on my scalp and a weekly leave in where I skip traditional conditioner, I actually go through more shampoo than conditioner even when conditioners are in smaller bottles.
I love this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo lather is incredible, so I do not need a lot to get a really clean feeling. Less product and less scrubbing equal less tangles in my baby fine hair. Some products make the tangles in my hair worse (like a different shampoo without lather I used this morning). That also helps reduce frizz, because there is less pulling when I comb my wet hair. Frizz is my biggest issue, because my wavy/curly hair gets very frizzy when it gets tangled. While no product will ever completely remove my frizz, this does a great job of drastically reducing it. My hair looks smooth (mostly) and feels soft when I use this. It smells nice without being overbearing, too.
I love that this product is affordable, because it outperforms a lot of more expensive products and is a nice reminder not to overlook drugstore items. There are a lot of hidden gems there. This is something I will happily buy once I use up items I already have in my stash.
There are always extra tasks you can complete to get badges. Certain badge winners win prizes, so I complete as many tasks as I can. A badge only requires a Drugstore.com review. Reviews on Amazon.com and Pantene.com give bonus points, which gives me a better chance of winning a prize. I will submit all three (the Pantene.com link is not ready yet) and upload them to Influenster once they’re approved.
If you love trying new things, and who does not love free things, sign up for Influenster and get started. Already signed up? I’d love to read about any campaigns you’ve participated in or any badge prizes you’ve received. See all Influenster articles. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
