Ulta GWP Benefit Dew The Hoola and a Clearance Section Deal
See Targeted GWP Offers for 2018.
Benefit Dew The Hoola releases 02/26/16. As a fan of Hoola Bronzer (especially in the summer when I have more color), I really wanted to try this. Ulta emailed an offer for a Sneak Peek of the product to select UltaMate members. This offer ties to your account, so the amount of the sample ($10) will only drop off online when you’re logged in. Members who are celebrating their UltaMate Rewards anniversary have 5x points offers. My anniversary is not until next month, so the only 5x points offer I have is for fragrance. That is an offer I will probably never redeem. If you do not have a 5x points on everything offer and do not want to spend $50 online, you can pick this up in person.
There is no official clearance section online, and the clearance section in the store usually has deeper discounts than the sale section online. The online sale section has more overall items and more variety.
In store clearance are items a specific store is trying to clear, so items will vary from store to store even within a city. It is possible some items will be the same, so you can pick up extras at other stores if your store runs out. Make sure you call to see if they have the item and ask the store to put it on hold before driving over. There is usually a limit to how many of the same item you can buy, to prevent re-selling. That number depends on the employee, it is usually around six.
The size of the clearance section depends on how many items the store has to clear. My store usually has one center rack (with four sides) and two sections on the regular shelves. Shelves that usually house clearance items will hold other items when they cannot fill the shelves.
They are in the almost the exact center of my store, but they could be anywhere in your store. Feel free to ask an employee if you cannot find yours. It is unlikely your Ulta does not have one.
The 0.16oz Benefit Dew The Hoola is not a freebie, because it requires a purchase. There is no purchase minimum though, so I made my way over to the clearance section. With the possibility that I am getting a 5x points offer for my anniversary next month, I did not want to go on a full shopping spree. The Clearance section at my Ulta has some nice goodies.
This new cream bronzer is not the same color as the original. Let me know if you want to see a swatch of the original on me. Hoola Bronzing Powder is an orange-brown that leans more brown. The bronzing cream is a yellow-brown that leans more yellow.
I will edit this as soon as I get a chance to wear it, but I am not impressed with the swatch. It looks like mustard, and rubs out to look like a bruise. Yellow shades are really hard for me to pull off. Hopefully, it looks better on paired with other makeup than it looks on its own.
Ulta sells the 1.3oz AHAVA DeadSea Water Mineral Hand Cream for $10. The clearance section has sets that include the same 1.3oz AHAVA DeadSea Water Mineral Hand Cream AND a 1.3oz AHAVA DeadSea Water Mineral Body Lotion for $1.97. I love the body cream, although I prefer the hand cream. Getting each for $0.965 is incredible. There were at least 10. The only thing that stopped me is I really am stocked on moisturizers, and I am not shopping on a multiplier. Since the Benefit GWP had no minimum, it did not matter if I bought one or ten.
After I got home, I looked up AHAVA gift with purchases to see if I wanted to go back and get any more. Ulta offers so many that are available online and in store that it is rare the employee will bring up the offer. You have to ask for it more often than not. Through 02/20/16, you can get a 0.68oz AHAVA DeadSea Water Mineral Hand Cream with a $20 AHAVA purchase. That is available in store and online. There is 0.68oz Dermud Intensive Foot Cream sample with a $20 purchase that is only available online. The set I purchased is not available online at all and none of the current deals are that incredible, so I would give up the foot cream to shop in store for more sets.
I love getting the leftover Ulta Hand Creams from the Christmas Season, because they are pretty good. Two years ago, I was able to get some in March for $0.50. While there is a chance they may still have some then, I think $0.97 is still a really good deal. These are 3oz hand creams, which makes them cheaper than drugstore pricing. The festive scents do not even bother me even if I use them off-season. Although, I am so stocked on hand creams that I may not even open these until Christmas time. I selected Ulta Hand Creams in Pretty Peppermint and Pleasant Plum. To keep them new, I am refraining from smelling them. Hopefully, they smell as awesome as they sound. These are not available online.
Had I checked offers before going to the store, I almost certainly would have cleared out the AHAVA sets. This order netted me 4 points (3 base, 1 Platinum bonus)! I am unsure when Ulta started rounding down base points. There was a time when I thought they rounded $3.91 to 4 points. Oh well, my points were minimal, but my deal was incredible.
I will continue to post offers I am aware of, so no worries if you happen upon this post after the offers above expire. If you have questions about any Ulta Coupon, I go over all types. Targeted Offers are exclusive to UltaMate Members, so I do recommend joining. New members get $10 of their first purchase with a referral. Remember to check all Ulta offers before placing an online order, because there are always general or brand specific offers that are not targeted. Deal stacking is not only allowed, it’s encouraged. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
