When you purchase a Target Beauty Box, you get a coupon for $3 off a $15 beauty purchase. They usually expire within a month of receiving the box. The ones received in the 01/04/16 beauty boxes expire on 02/14/16, so this is your official reminder to use them if you have not already. While the intent is to use the coupon to get a discount off the item(s) you enjoyed from the box, you can usually use it on anything in the beauty department. There are not many exclusions other than beauty items purchased from the baby or personal care departments. My nine-year-old loves CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (thanks to a Facebook freebie he sampled), so I always go into Target looking for that.
Despite seeing a section for this in my local Target, it is always out-of-stock. I’ve checked a handful of times, too. It is probably for the best that it is out-of-stock, because it retails for $11.99 in store. Online, it retails for $8.59. I’ve talked about price discrepancies for drugstore items before, but it is important to remind you that even the same retailer can have huge variation in online prices and from store to store. The $3.40 difference equates to a 28.36% savings. That is significant to warrant an online purchase even if the product was in stock. Thanks to the low $25 free shipping minimum, it is a no-brainer.
The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is the item I placed the order for, but I needed to add something else from the beauty department to get over the $15 minimum to use the $3 off coupon. My son used all the Cetaphil Skin Cleanser he snuck into the cart a while back. For some time, I’ve intended on trying it. My gynecologist recommends this gentle cleanser over any of the feminine soaps I use. Since my son used it in the past and decided it was not for him, I knew there was a good chance I would be able to try it this time. I’ve tried his CeraVe cleanser and while it does moisturize better than most, the lack of lather does not leave me with the squeaky clean feeling I love.
Now that I spent enough to get over the coupon minimum, I needed something to get me over the shipping minimum. My husband waited until after my in store trip to Target to tell me he was out of contact drops. Getting one was not enough to go over the minimum (once the $3 coupon came off), so I ordered two Blink Eye Drops for Contact Lenses. He swears this is the best on the market. I was never really able to wear contacts, so I have not tried as many brands as he has.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
