FabuFinds January 2016

Every month, I review my empty products. Some products are not worth thinking about once the month is over. Others are wonderful and seem like they’re made for me. Those are FabuFinds, and I generally devote a little more time to discussing them. They are items I have repurchased and will continue to repurchase even at full price if I could not find a good promo code.

To eventually spotlight all of my FabuFinds, I will never repeat items already mentioned in a past article. That does not mean they lost their magic. It is also possible an item not spotlighted in a past Empties article may get promoted as I try it more and fall deeper in love. Other times, it is because I had a lot of FabuFinds in a previous month and had to condense the article. There were two products I consider FabuFinds in my January Empties that I have not discussed yet.

If you’re still searching for the perfect cotton, I suggest Shiseido Facial Cotton. This is the best cotton I’ve ever used. I drenched a pad with water to test the strength, and it retained most of its shape even after rubbing without falling apart. It does not leave lint on my face or fingernails either. Thanks to layering, it is soft and thick. When I rub this on my face, I never have to worry about it scratching or being too rough (two things that happen often with some cheaper pads). That layering helps the pad from absorbing too much product. Since I started using these, I’ve noticed I do not need as much of whatever product I am using (nail polish remover, toner, micellar water, cleanser, etc). Although these are more expensive than generic pads, they may actually save money in the long run based on product saved over the 165 uses. Once I use up my large stash purchased before this, I will probably only exclusively purchase this.

One of my all time favorite hand creams is L’Occitane Shea Hand Cream. It is deeply moisturizing, not greasy, and smells decent. If the smell was a little nicer, it would probably be my favorite ever, because I love the way it feels on my hands. My hands feel soft, but never wet. They look matte with a slight bit of sheen that looks natural. The smell is not bad, it is just a little more fragrant than I usually prefer. This is a common smell across multiple products, so it is either a signature scent or derived from ingredients L’Occitane uses often. I’ve used a number of items from this brand, and this is my favorite so far. It is way better than the Shea Butter foot cream.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (13 and 8) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 13-year-old to apply it.
