FabuFinds: Product Spotlight November 2015

Every month, I review my empty products. Some products are not worth thinking about once the month is over. Others are wonderful and seem like they’re made for me. Those are FabuFinds, and I generally devote a little more time to discussing them. They are items I have repurchased and will continue to repurchase even at full price if I could not find a good promo code.

To eventually spotlight all of my FabuFinds, I will never repeat items already mentioned in a past article. That does not mean they lost their magic. It is also possible an item not spotlighted in a past Empties article may get promoted as I try it more and fall deeper in love. Other times, it is because I had a lot of FabuFinds in a previous month and had to condense the article. There were five products I consider FabuFinds in my November Empties that I have not discussed yet.

My first experience with Patchology was very pleasant. I had never even heard of this brand when a friend alerted me to this freebie listed on Shopify. The Patchology hydrate FlashMasque Facial Sheet is the perfect mask for winter. It is heavily lubricated and left my skin feeling soft. When I woke up the morning after applying it, my skin was still soft. Some of the smoothness sometimes wears off by the time I wake up in the morning even when I use a thick sleeping mask or cream.

My cheeks are that dry. Other parts of my face can get dehydrated when they do not get enough moisture as well. This mask delivered, and I look forward to exploring the brand. Shipping is free on the brand’s website, but you can also purchase from Bergdorf Goodman or Neiman Marcus (both also give free shipping). The discount offer above applies automatically. An expiration date is not listed, so I do not know when the three days are up. I did sign up for emails, so I got an offer for 25% off. It is combining with the 10% offer above, so I am having a hard time resisting placing an order.

I’ve experimented with so many sponges of the years. This Julep It’s Fun to Exfoliate is like no other I’ve used before perfect. It helps with lather, so I use less soap. Between uses, it dries out. To let it completely dry out, I’ve been alternating liquid and bar soaps (I also have another reason for that, which you will soon see). By the second day, it is completely dry. A dry sponge is not an ideal environment for germs and bacteria to thrive. Wet sponges are a different story.

It gently exfoliates, so you could use it everyday without damaging your skin. The bamboo charcoal powder detoxifies and cleans deep within your pores. This includes a string and suction cup, so you can hang it to dry. I love that it is 100% biodegradable and compostable, because the cheap scratchy sponges I usually use will likely outlive me. Like other Julep products, this was renamed. It’s now called the Charcoal Body Konjac Sponge.

This Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor Blade refill is sometimes more expensive than buying the disposable blades, so I will be pricing both methods out when I place my next order. It was more expensive when I received my Fall Wal-Mart Box, but it is cheaper again now. There is a lot of price fluctuation in drug store products. I get a really close shave with this razor. The hypoallergenic serum above the blades helps prevent skin irritation. Most razors give my skin a slight rash, but it is almost non-existent with this one.

My hair looks incredible when I use this Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Masque. It was instantly softer, less frizzy, shinier, more manageable, and moisturized after one use. I’ve never sampled a hair mask where I saw immediate results, but this was instantaneous. As soon as it dried, I could see the difference, and the results last through another washing. Once I finish off some items already in my stash, I will definitely purchase this.

This Essentielle Beauty Gingerbread Cream smells like Gingerbread. It is incredible and reminds me of Christmas. The light weight cream moisturizes deeply. My skin stays hydrated all day. In the fall, this even worked at night. Now that we’ve crossed over into winter, I need something a little thicker at night. I like that it is a natural formula. Megan was kind enough to send me more after my free product trial ran out. If I can resist using it all right away, I will try to make this last through the holidays. It is so festive.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
