Nothing beats completely free offers. Sometimes, there really is no catch to obtaining free items. You just have to know where to look and how to find them. Welcome to the sixth installment of items I’ve received for free. Past free sample articles feature different freebies. The offers at times come in emails. Sometimes, you will see them on a blog or the direct brand’s website. Other times, you can find free offers on social media or even through snail mail. My Free Samples Page provides more information on sample opportunities. Offers can at times come by phone, but I never answer numbers I do not recognize. I will miss out on any that come that way.
Target gives completely free samples. They’re posted sporadically (no pattern) and never last long, so check often to increase your chance of successfully grabbing something. This U By Kotex free offer interested me, because I have not used anything but Always for many years. These ads have been all over the place, but I’ve been pretty loyal to my brand. The only chance of getting me to switch was a free sample, because I was not buying them to see if the claims were true when I was happy with what I used already. There were: two pantyliners, a regular pad, and a heavy flow pad inside.
This coupon will not be used. Despite impressive ad campaigns, this product does not perform as well as my regular one.
There was another Target offer I redeemed shortly afterward. This was for Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. I love the concept of the this product. It is actually something I try to adhere to as often as possible only I try to apply to damp skin instead of wet skin. Products absorb into moist skin much better than they do into dry skin. As someone with dry skin, I learned this over years of waiting to long after a shower to apply. Sometimes Moms still cannot immediately hop out of the shower and moisturize right away, so this seems like the perfect solution. Once I try it, I will report back on how it goes.
When someone mentioned Lancome was offering a free Teint Idole Ultra sample, I jumped at the chance. I am currently using Lancome Renergie (well one of many I use) but I have not tried this product yet. My husband hates when he gets things in his name that are for me, so I hope he does not read this. Even though I am 100% positive I filled out the sample request in my name, it arrived in his! Considering I have placed many orders directly with Lancome and he’s placed zero, I cannot even imagine where they got his contact info from. A sample in my name never arrived, so I have to assume this is “my sample.” Even if he found out about it and decided to keep it, the color would be way off for him to sample it anyway. I am keeping it.
Wal-Mart rarely has free samples. More often than not, the sample link leads you into a healthy supply of coupons. When I saw this, I knew I would never try it. My taste buds do not care for any artificial sweeteners (hate diet soda and foods sweetened with this stuff). While I cannot stand them, my husband sometimes enjoys them. I ordered this Zing Zero Calorie Sweetener to see what he thought. He has not tried this Wal-Mart freebie yet.
If he does like it, I am happy we have a coupon.
Allure Free Stuff has occasional offers where arriving on time can help you win prizes. It is seriously one of the few places you do not want to arrive fashionably late. Most contests open at 9am PST and if you arrive at 9:01am, you will probably miss out on the giveaway. The giveaway always changes, but the rules stay the same. Arrive first (or 500th depending on how many prizes that event offers), enter your info, and win. Only the specified number of people to enter first at each time will win. You will not know if you win until the package arrives at your door, because winners are not notified.
At 9am four days this week (the 2nd-5th of November), there will be an Allure Free Stuff Giveaway. Good luck!
I had a streak of entering the Allure Free Stuff Giveaway at about 9:01am each morning, but I distinctly remember a few times where I arrived slightly before 9am and kept refreshing. The following four entries must have been fruits of those labors. They were all mailed separately within a few weeks of one another, so I must have won four separate contests. These are all drugstore items and I specifically remember entering contests for higher end items as well. Those must go faster, but my fingers are crossed that I can still win some or that one is already on the way.
The first item, Covergirl The Super Sizer by lashblast Mascara is an award winning mascara I already received it in my Target Hello Sunshine Box. With my overwhelming mascara stash still growing, I am not even sure if I will try the first. That means I definitely will not try the second. My first win will have to find a new home. Finding it a new home will make me happy, so it is a win/win for whomever receives it. My plan is to keep entering the Allure Free Stuff Contests whenever I can, so I will win something I can keep soon.
This Olay Pro X Anti-Aging Nightly Purifying Micro-Peel looks intriguing and I look forward to trying it. Some of the products from the Pro X line have impressed me in the past, and I will let you know where this falls.
I bought a 3-pack of Secret Deodorant months ago and have not been able to use it, because I keep getting free samples of deodorant everywhere. This is the same brand, formula, scent, and everything I prefer. It expires the same time as the full-sized ones I purchased, so I will save this Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid Completely Clean for my travels. It is always nice to get a freebie of something you already know and love.
The Pantene Pro V Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner will be thoroughly tested. My scalp is so dry, which causes it to flake. I always hope that products that claim to hydrate the hair will hydrate all the way down to the scalp. My dry scalp causes my oil production to go into hyperdrive. It gives me a dry itchy scalp with oily, dirty looking hair by the evening when I wash my hair that morning. Balancing everything is quite a task, and I am always experimenting with products to see what is up to the task.
If you missed out on any of these offers, no worries. New ones always come along. I have a dedicated spot on the front page where I share specific offers and you can always find general ones from the sites I trust. See all free sample articles.
