My Snow White and Belle mirrors are beautiful, so I contemplated buying the other four. When they restocked, I kept telling myself I did not need them all. I really wanted Cinderella though, because she’s classic. After watching Ariel go out of stock, I decided I would purchase Cinderella if she was still available when a good promo code came along. On 10/07/15, someone graciously sent me a message stating the VIBGLOW released a day early. Knowing that code would probably run out of stock quickly, I decided to get the mirror. Stock did run out the same evening. Sephora did send me the official email the next morning after stock returned.
The code (requires Sephora VIB status) has a $35 minimum, so I added another set of Sephora Collection in the Nude Hair Ties. I still had not opened the ones I received with my Snow White mirror, but 8 hair ties for $3 is a pretty good deal. With the way I stretch them out and lose them, they will eventually get used. It is rare to see an 8-pack of hair ties get lower than $5, so this is a perfect add-on when it is available.
The Disney Reigning Beauty Cinderella mirror is beautiful, and I am glad I decided to get her. It is heavy, and I love the design. I also like that it’s blue. My others are: red and yellow, so this mirror rounds out my collection of primary colors.
I usually toss the box as soon as I open something, but I love the box on this.
It is very snug inside the foam.
The beautiful blue background and “magic” encircling the dress are breathtaking.
The inscription on the back reads, “the right shoe can transform your life.”
This compact has a mirror on the top and the bottom.
Even without the flash of the camera, the detailing in the mirror is lovely. My Snow White and Belle have equally beautiful and unique details. Though the silhouette style is the same, they all have special details and statements custom to each princess. I really would like to own all six. With Ariel out-of-stock, I will probably stick to the three I have so far.
The VIBGLOW promo code includes: a 0.17oz Dr. Jart+ BB Night Beauty Balm, a 0.17oz Skin Inc. Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask, a 1.69oz Lancôme Énergie de Vie Daily Lotion-in-Gel, a 0.33oz belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, a 0.18oz Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate, a 0.3oz SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, and a 0.68oz Fresh Rose Face Mask. This is one of the most valuable promo codes I’ve seen outside of the VIB celebration event (which should come around 10/31/15 or 11/01/15).
I was actually interested in all the samples I selected, so I am glad there were no substitutions. The 0.1oz Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula™ Luxury Facial Oil intrigues me most, because I’ve heard a lot about this brand but have not tried anything yet. My other two-in-sample is 0.13oz of each: Fresh Soy Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover and Soy Fresh Face Cleanser. Although I’ve received samples of the cleanser before, the eye makeup remover is a new sample for me.
Even though it is a foil, I was happy to sample Marc Jacobs Decadence. Bonus samples are rare outside of perfume promotions. This one uses Italian Plum, Iris Flower, Saffron, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Orris, Vetiver, Papyrus Woods, and Liquid Amber. They blend together wonderfully to create a beautiful, clean, lasting scent. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate this a nine. Hopefully, I can get a bigger sample, because I like to wear scents a few times to really get a feel for them. I’ve been known to love something the first time I wear it and lose the feeling the second.
The sample pact includes 0.1oz samples of Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper and Dior Addict Lip Glow in 001 pink. I love a two-in-one sample, and this sample is impressive. Even though foils do not keep long, this is such a generous size and includes a mini lip brush. It should last a while (if I can store it properly) and get over my desire to toss foils that have been open too long.
The Lip Maximizer is sticky when you first apply it, but settles into something less sticky as it wears. Within two minutes of applying, it is about a two out of five on the sticky scale. That makes it tolerable, but nothing I would purchase. It has a cooling effect and tastes weird (not bad, just weird), so my tongue tingles when it inevitably gets into my mouth. I did not find it very plumping and thought my lips looked the same as they always do, only more shiny. They also felt slightly more moisturized than what a standard gloss brings to the table. The light pink color of the gloss is almost non-existent on the lips, so this is essentially clear.
If you have not picked up any mirrors yet, Elsa & Anna, Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) are still in stock. Belle and Ariel are out of stock, and I am unsure if they will come back.
If you’re a VIB or higher wanting to redeem the promo, you are welcome to try it. Last I checked, it ran out of stock for the third time. Sephora does not inform a single Beauty Insider of all deal details. Certain offers are targeted and others have different purchase minimums based on the code. Remember to check New Offers and/or Recycled Offers before placing an online order. If you’re spending over $25, you can add a promo code to any order. See all Disney and Sephora articles.
