Swatches and Looks January 2015

Welcome to the January edition of Swatches and Looks.  I want to catalog the items that did not make it into another article, so I will post these when applicable.  If they’ve made it into another article, they will not appear here.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Wonderland.  The color is a pinkish/coral with a touch of red.  I love this color.  These lippies fall between a gloss and a lipstick.  This particular one is a little less sticky than other colors I’ve tried from the same line.  It leaves a slightly sticky mess as it fades, so the formula is not my favorite.

Urban Decay Liar.  I find the color and the formula okay.  There is nothing overly special or terrible about either.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask.  It goes on clear and hardens on the skin.  I did leave it on for about 25 minutes (it suggests 20-30).  From a single foil, I did not get a full feeling of how well it worked. My skin did look slightly nicer afterward, but I would need to experiment longer to give a true opinion on this.

I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.

  1. I love the UD Revolution lipsticks — I find that they wear incredibly well through eating and drinking. However, I only have some of the bold color ones. Do you find that the wear is the same with the nude colored lipsticks?

  2. When it comes to nudes, I find a lot of formulas bunch up on me giving me splotchy coverage or fall into lines. This particular one bunched up on me. I do not remember a darker shade I’ve tried doing that, per se, but I am still on the hunt for a nice nude. This is actually a little dark on me to be nude. I have a darker color I will likely be wearing soon, so I will post that in the next review.

Deal or No Deal? What Do You Think?
