There are a lot of companies that get you to join by luring you in with false promises of free trial products with no catch. For every one that is legit, there are probably two more that are not. I was lucky enough to find a great one that has sent me products to try with no cost to me. The only thing that Influenster asks is that you check in and review the products. It prefers you connect the reviews to as many social media accounts as possible to increase your reach, which it calls an impact score.
Since joining a year and a half ago, I have sampled some great free products. Most of the products it asks you to sample are beauty related, but occasionally it asks you to sample lifestyle or food products. If Influenster thinks a program may be a nice fit for you, it sends a survey. Upon completion of the survey, you will either be excluded from receiving a Vox Box (filled with free goodies to sample, then review) or you will be placed in the running. An email will follow shortly thereafter if you will receive a box. Another email will go out when the box ships. It will send another email to remind you to check in the box.
The box I received today was right up my alley. My favorite candy bar is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. When I found out I was selected to try the new Reese’s Spread, I was ecstatic. Peanut butter and chocolate go together so well. I opened up my VoxBox (sent courtesy of Influenster), which contained a free 13oz jar of spread. The boxes are normally themed. This one looked like this.
I like the box so much that I will likely reuse it for something. Once you open the box, you will find a product card that tells you a little about the product(s). This was one of the more detailed cards I’ve seen.
The product(s) are under the card. In this case, I was very happy to see that it was a very nice 13oz size. It is not uncommon to receive full sized items, but I have seen some smaller items in the box. Until it arrives, you will not usually know the size.
I already sampled this on nothing but a spoon, and it was incredibly delicious. Oddly enough, I found it creamier than my beloved peanut butter cups, so I think this will go great on so many things. My brain is already thinking of all the different things I can try this on. Tomorrow, I think I am going to try it with apples and bananas. Yesterday, my family made cookies. I am definitely going to top one of those cookies with this spread tomorrow. Putting the candy bar in spread version was pure genius. Every moment of said genius was savored. I'm Kimberly. Shopping is always more fun when I've found the best deal available, so I am always on the hunt. My father instilled that in me, and I love that I carry a piece of him. Sometimes, my husband and sons (12 and 7) let me shop for them, too. They do not use as many beauty products as I do. We can all benefit from nice products, even though their routine ends with moisturizer. That is when I can convince my 12-year-old to apply it.
